Jason walked into the doctor's office, he was getting sick of the smell and the bright white walls. He wished the place was as colorful as children's doctor's offices were. If would have made the visit more tolerable. The doctor walked in and sat across from him. "Nice to see you again Jason. How is your head feeling? Any new memories? Last time you were here you mentioned you've been seeing random memories occasionally."

Jason nodded. "Yeah, I sometimes can remember people and stuff. One of the memories was reuniting with dad and Thalia." He fidgeted with his hands as he spoke. It was uncomfortable to talk about these kinds of things but he knew it was necessary to help him in recollecting the memories in which he had lost.

As the doctor wrote some stuff down on his clipboard, Jason was growing more and more nervous. He hated the situation and wanted to get outta there as soon as possible. "Anything else you can remember? And how does your head feel whenever you get these memory flashes?"

"Well, I get headaches sometimes when I remember things but nothing else. The stuff I remember is random, like the day I met Percy and Nico and Hazel. And I remember my aunt's blue cookies. Stuff like that."

The doctor took some more notes before putting down his clipboard. "Okay, it seems like we're heading on the right track then. I don't think we should be trying to force any memories out of you when you see to be getting them back on your own relatively quickly."

Jason nodded as the doctor talked. "How long do you think it will take to fully gain my memories back?"

"I'm not too sure, if it keeps going like this then you should have most of your memories back by the time I next see you."

Jason grinned, happy for some good news for a change. "That's great then!"

"It is, I'm going to prescribe you some pain medication for your headaches, just set up an appointment for a month from now at reception and you're free to go. I wish you well."

Jason nodded and waved at the doctor before leaving the room and getting his dad to set up his next appointment. While their dad was busy, Jason and Thalia talked about how the appointment went and how he was going to get his memories back pretty soon if all goes well.

"I'm so excited! Remember to not overdo it though. I don't want you to stress too much about getting your memories back." Thalia said, hugging her brother.

Jason smiled, "I know, I just really want my memories of my friends and Piper to come back, I feel bad for forgetting them all just like that..."

Thalia sighed, "Jason, they understand. They may be sad but you have to focus on yourself for now."

Jason pouted. "I know I know..."

-------------

A month had passed relatively quickly and Jason was more happy than ever as he walked into school after his early morning doctors appointment. He had skipped a few days before due to headaches and memories coming back so his friends were all happy to see him walk through the doors.

Piper smiled as Jason walked towards the group. "Jason! How are you?" She had taken the approach of just treating Jason like a friend until he got his memories back.

It seemed her waiting was worth it though because Jason ran straight towards her and hugged her. "I'm back beauty queen..." He mumbled. Not wanting the others to intrude on their moment. Piper's eyes began to water as she hugged him back.

The others seemed to get the memo and all jumped on the reunited couple. Percy and Leo being the loudest. "Jason!"

"Sparky!"

"You sure took your sweet time remembering us!"

Nico scoffed as he hugged Jason. "You jerk, we were all so worried."

Will chuckled at his boyfriend as he wiped the tears that the emo was forming. "He means he missed you a whole lot and loves you soooo much." He said, teasing the short Italian.

Jason laughed as he was finally released from the bone crushing hug. "I know you all are just soooo happy to have me back but can I have a moment alone with my beautiful girlfriend before class starts?"

Drew made a dramatic fake gagging sound at Jason's words. "Yeah yeah, we'll leave you lovebirds alone." She said, herding the group away despite their protests.

Once the group was out of sight Jason turned towards Piper with tears in his eyes. "You know I didn't do it on purpose, right? If I could choose I wouldn't have ever forgotten you."

Piper smiled at him and wiped her own tears away. "I know, you loveable moron. You just wanted to help. I'm glad you saved that kid. I'm just sad you had to trade your own memories to do so."

"I'm sorry for leaving you alone for so long."

Piper giggled. "I was never alone, I had our friends, and you were always there whether you think you were or not."

Jason pulled her into another hug, not knowing what he did to deserve a girl as amazing as Piper. He thanked whatever deities he could think of for the ability to have Piper as his soulmate. What he didn't know was that Piper was doing the same, thanking any gods in existence for giving her someone as courageous as Jason.

"Grace, McClean, get to class!" A teacher yelled at them. They looked around and noticed nobody else was in the halls. The bell must have rung already. They looked at each other, smiled, and booked it to their class before they could get in trouble.
