Naomi Mason

"So I was thinking after you're game today we could go out somewhere and do something." Randy said shutting his locker and leaning on it

Its so weird how he couldnt do this last year without having his reputation on the line

I looked at him "I would love too, but me and my brother always get frozen yogurt after my games." i told him "Its something we do now."I said quietly

I know he wanted to press on the subject but he let it go

"Oh okay I dont want to keep you from that, but I will still be there supporting you." He said

I shut my locker and took his hand in mine "Thank you"

He brought his hand up to his mouth and kissed it. I smiled at him.

"Look Naomi i just want to say-" Randy started

I looked at him confused waiting for him to continue

He grabbed my other hand and look me straight in the eye

"I love you no matter what happens between us. I'll always be there for and I just cant stand the thought of lossing you for any stupid reason." He said

"Why are you saying this?" I ask him " You wont ever loose me."

He broke his gaze away from me and the late bell rang but we stayed right at our lockers. He has bee so weird about this lately.

"Randy you need to stop thinking like this. You wont ever loose me. I love you too much and I dont get rid of things that I love." I finally spoke

"Yeah you're right, I just had a talk with your brother the day you had your party and i kinda was just overthinking things I guess." He told me honestly

"Just a little bit." I smiled

"I promise I stop thinking like that."

"I'll take you on that promise."

He smiled and led me towards our class that we were late too already.

"I love you." I said

"I know." he grinned

And just like that everything was better

Never knew that i would finally reach my laast first game of the season. Its so crazy how the years just flew by. Its hard to take it all in. Soon i'll be in my brothers position. I will have responsiblities of my own and I just dont think i'm ready for that yet but i guess you have to be at some point. I was standing on the sidelines gazing at the field.

"Hey naomi'" My coach came up to me

"Hey coach." I said back

"You ready?" She asked me

"For what? The game. not at all." I told her

"No I know you are not nervous for the game. I meant for the future'" she said

I took a deep breath " not really."

"Whats troubling you?"

"Everything i guess. I just don't want anything to change and I feel like things are going to start getting more difficult."

"Every things difficult." Coach started "But we learn how to deal with it somehow. You will do fine kiddo. I know you, you can get through anything if you set your mind to it."

I didn't say anything, i just looked at her.

"Life gets tough, it throws obstacles at us and it throws challenges at us but we get through them and we become better people."  She continued
