"They're adorable," i chuckled. Raiden turned to me, just to gaze his eyes at my figure. I didn't budge. "I'm guessing Sub-Zero is already further away."

Raiden and i made our way deep into the forest. I carefully watched my steps for any unwanted disturbance. Unbothered as usual to bring up any interesting matter to talk off, i stated what our recent problem in the bat cave. "I still can't believe Superman did that... who knew a guy like him could lose control..."

"Every cause has its effect, (Y/N). The jester brought the downfall to himself," Raiden said.

"To think he, a kryptonian, devastated at the fully to see his human love interest and a thousands of others die."

"Like him you should not let your grievance expropriate."

"I would literally lose my shit if i ever get played like that."

Raiden stopped his steps, i turned to him to see his arms already crossed. His expression explained the empty satisfaction.

"Oh come on, i'm joking. Sort of. Well you wouldn't know anyway, you're a god," i stated. He stood silent as i turn around, continued walking down the mossy path. After seconds, his footsteps continued on trailing behind me. I knew i have said the wrong thing to him, knowing he lost many warriors on the last Mortal Kombat tournament. Including his two students.

I bit my lower lip, feeling a little bit guilty. But, with the fact i have doubts myself. There was already twice the time, we made the heated moment. The unknown moment. I shook the thoughts away, trying to confine my curiosity.

After a long moment of walk, our pupils noticed a dwelling made of wooden planks. The structure was not too firm. There were many of the planks decayed. There was a small dock, and many boats parked to the edge.

Me and Raiden took cover behind a tree, observing the area. "Looks like no one's home, but where is the Grandmaster?" i muttered a whisper.

I gasped suddenly when a person was thrown out from the inside, spreading the shattered glass across the platform. My eyes widened. Raiden furrowed his brows, "Sub-Zero."

My eyes reverted to the figure laying unconscious from the throw, it was indeed Kuai Liang. I bit my lower lip as i slant my eyes. Then, two other figure merged from the shadow. A man and a woman. The man has a sack covering his face, holding a sharp sickle on his hand. The woman looked intimidating, greenery covered her body. Her hair was red, swayed by the wind of the cold night.

When the man tried to strike Sub-Zero, i casted my roots from beneath his body. To protect him from the sharp object. Raiden and i stepped into the light and rushed to them.

"Friends of yours, Sub-Zero?" the woman glanced at him, he grunts as soon as he retrieved his consciousness. Sub-Zero quickly retreated beside us.

"The amulet... inside... Ivy and Scarecrow kept it..."

"You should rest, Grandmaster. We'll handle these two."

Sub-Zero nodded and backed away. My eyes gazed to the woman, Ivy, she seemed very familiar. She tilted her head, "Visitor should leave this Earth."

"Trust me, we would if we could," i charged to her and summoned my scythe, Raiden blocked the attack coming from Scarecrow who already sprinted towards him.

Ivy stepped back and raised her hand, merging vines from beneath. The spiked vines made its way to me, i reflected her powers with my magic. Stopping the thorns from stinging my body. The vines decayed to the side.

"How mesmerizing. Our powers are similar," she stated.

I put up my stance and glared at her, "Your defeat, won't."
