You were best friends with Derek when you were at school but your family moved away, you were also a wolf who was born just like Derek.
It's had been many years but you decided to go back to beacon hills the first place you went was the Hale house to see if Derek was still there.
You pulled up in the car and started to walk, as you got close you saw the house and was shocked at the burned ruins of a house you once used to play in.
You stared at the house and got an uneasy feeling you decided to leave and as you turned away you felt a presence behind you as you turned around you saw a good looking dark haired man.
He seem very familiar and the scent was to but you couldn't quite get it
"Who are you and why are you here" he asks harshly
"I'm sorry I'm just looking for someone erm Derek Hale do you know him I'm an old friend" you say shyly
"Who are you?" He ask confused
"Wait Derek ?.... Derek it's me y/n y/l/n do you remember me?" You ask starting to take a step forward
Derek thought for a second and a smile pulled on his lips
"Y/n is that really you, you changed so much I'm sorry I didn't recognise you" he said as he walks to you and pulls you in for a hug
"Yeah it's me, how have you been, what's happened here?" You ask
"It's a long story but come inside and I'll explain everything" he says grabbing you hand and walking you inside
You spent the evening catching up on everything he explain who will look out for you here in beacon hills and who to watch out for etc
You couldn't wait to get settle back here in your home town
