Ugh, another day at the strip club. They are gross but it makes me enough money to pay off that bastards dept so it's fine

Kenma grew up in an abusive household.

His mum left when he was 14. Before she left the mother used to sell herself to get by.

His dad on the other hand was so in love with Kenma's mothers he didn't care if she sold herself but he was abusive to her. He was a sociopath.

He would call her a slut and a whore for being a sex worker and beat her. When the mother passed out due to pain with the beatings he would move to Kenma.

When his wife left for good he turned full time to drugs, alcohol, and gambling.

They weren't well off since the only source of income was his mother selling herself and his dad was unemployed.

When the mum left, his father later applied for loan companies claiming millions of yen to fund his illegal lifestyle since he was un-employed;

The boy and father had to downsize from a house into renting a small apartment.

His father overdose when he was 16.

His dad's dept from the loan companies who turned out to be loan sharks caused Kenma to suffer.

He soon became homeless since he couldn't pay when the dad died. He couldn't find a job since was only 16. He had no family left.
