It had been almost two weeks now since high school commenced and to be honest, Hueningkai hadn't anticipated that high school would be a year in which he had to go through textbooks a lot. As a matter of fact, he had to initially sacrifice most of his time that would be "hangout time" to study but it never lasted for over an hour. On the other hand, his friends didn't usually have that much time (except for school) to hangout with Hueningkai. They were either busy with their routines/ after school activities or just going on dates.
He sometimes wished he had someone he could truly look up to, someone who can completely change your life, in a good way. Make your heart flutter and simply make you feel like you are loved. But he knew, only fate could decide his future. Him trying and then something going wrong was no use. Destiny decided whether your life was meaningless or meaningful.
As for Soobin, Hueningkai and Soobin would text pretty often now. Overall, he adored Soobin and his kindness. Not to forget, his affection towards the taller male was deep and sincere. He felt like he had gotten closer to the latter to the point they would walk home together pretty often now.

"Yeah, and this is Yeonjun", Hueningkai chuckled while he introduced his friends to Soobin.
"Oh hi, nice to meet you all", Soobin smiled while he bowed to the three boys
"Nice to meet you too Soobin, I hope we can hangout often", Beomgyu said as he reached out a hand for a handshake
Soobin nodded while smiling
"Should we go now?", Hueningkai suggested as he led the way to the cafeteria, the others tagging along

"I didn't fail though. I was close enough too", Hueningkai sighed
"Why though? Did you not study?", Yeonjun questioned as he tilted his head
"Well, I wouldn't say I didnt but yeah, I didnt study that well", Hueningkai spoke in embarrassment
"You know you wont get into college right?", Taehyun said
"Yeah I know, I'll try...but math just makes me wanna give up", Hueningkai truthfully spoke, lying his head on the table
"I'm good at math..maybe I can help you with it sometime", Soobin said
"You are? Really? That would be really nice of you", Hueningkais face plastered into a smile
Soobin nodded, "Do you wanna study after this period?", Soobin questioned, waiting for confirmation
Hueningkai was about to reply when they saw a boy coming to their table
"Jeongin?", Soobin questioned with a smile
"Oh, hi...um..sorry for interrupting, I was just- wondering if you wanted to play basketball, the court is free", Jeongin got slightly nervous as he thought his request would be denied
"Oh..", Soobin looked at Hueningkai who faked a smile, really not liking how Jeongin just intruded
"I-ill come", Soobin smiled while turning his head back to Jeongin
"I'll catch up with you guys later", Soobin stated as he got off the chair
"Thank you so much", Jeongin slightly laughed as he walked together with Soobin.
Soobin turned his head back, giving an apologetic look to his friends who seemed kind of suspicious
Hueningkai looked rather disappointed. He was expecting Soobins help after all, but it seemed like he had other plans
