48. Enslaved

I've become a monster moulded by my own being.
A creature who's pain ignites those ever burning flames.
A storm delicately structured by my sinful hands.

It's not something I choose to be, but just something I know I am.
Not hiding the truth, now I've chosen to speak.

Wondering why the world still hasn't recognized?
It's cause I hide behind a deceiving smile.
These angelic wings are mere extensions of my devil-like horns.

I'm amongst you yet never notice who I am.
And with your ignorance and foolishness you fuel the flames that cause my strength.

I'm amongst you yet I'm not one of yours to rule.
I have my own kingdom to which you're all enslaved.

You think you're all mighty and superior, but that's all in your fairy tales.
Hate to tell you, but life isn't the perfect fantasy you dream of, rather it's the nightmare that makes you scream.

Ruthless and treacherous is all it is.
Have mercy on yourself and don't fall for tricks.

Shortcuts and pathways are another lie, one for which you always seem to fall.

So save yourself the trouble and don't trip into the grave you dig.
