I try to plaster on a smile
And hide the demons deep inside.
Feeling so lost in myself,
Selfishness crawls over my once selfless self.
I allow the pain that once broke me,
Strike again with greater force.
The truth rings wild in those sinful ears,
The pain that has filled me is one I can't bear.
