We mortals living an immortal dream,
Fear the impending extinction, still remain unprepared.
We plant our roots so deep in fantasies that life becomes a nightmare and happiness is a day dream.
We dig our graves with our own sinful hands yet are afraid to live inside when the time has arrived.
Where we take all our memories and all our well spent time and cherish them, like holding onto dear life.
We bow before existence and all it has to give,
Fear the certain death, all its untold tales and the secrets of afterlife waiting to be revealed.
We are just electrons revolving around the cacophony of our daily lives, in the enormity of the vast cosmic expansion; yet have egos greater than space and time .
We are living in a nightmare knitted by our own dreams,
Our aims and goals etched deep into our ambitious souls,
We are fooled by our own lies, trapped inside our self made schemes, stuck inside our thoughts and it's ever deceiving peace.
For we are just mortals living an immortal dream.
