Dreams.

Some say it signifies something. Some say they don't imply anything. Some say it's your unfulfilled wishes from your childhood. Some say it's just merely electrical brain impulses that attract random thoughts and imagery from our memories.

I'm not really sure what to believe until something happened and it made me decide to make my own theory.

I discovered that there are 5 types of dreams.

Normal dreams are those that we forget the next day. Daydreams are where we escape our reality and imagine things. Lucid dreams wherein you are in control of the dream you are having. False Awakening dreams are those that make you feel like you have woken up when you're not. Nightmares which is the disturbing and scary dream that feels realistic.

In my case, it's a mixture of lucid, false awakening, and nightmares. It's reoccurring and it all started in a place I couldn't name but I knew in myself and felt how familiar it is.

I was walking on a sidewalk but I'm not alone, there's a girl beside me whom I don't even know. I know it's weird, but what's weirder is that whenever I glance at her, I couldn't see her face distinctly, and maybe it's because it's already dark.

The very same reason why there are only few people I see around and although I am with someone, I can still feel bothered.

Are we being watched? Being followed? I wanted to look back to convince myself that my instinct is altered but the fear I am feeling stops me and all I could do is walk faster. The girl beside me did too, maybe she also sensed the same thing as I was.

We walked until we're running and the more we run, the more dark it gets, and the lesser people I see. My heart was pounding so fast as well as my breathing, but I couldn't stop.

We couldn't stop.

But then I fell down, the girl I'm with stopped from pacing and I was shocked when she helps me stand up but I took that as a chance to look behind us. My eyes widened when I saw another person walking towards us. I started pushing the girl to go because I couldn't stand anymore.

But she never left me and when I was already on my feet, she told me to run. I was trying to see her face but she was looking at the person after us and I was having second thoughts if I should run, but she didn't stop telling me to go.

So I took a step away. Not once, not twice, but several steps. I was running away from her when she shouted. "Don't look back!"

But I never listened and did the exact opposite thing she said. I saw her being stabbed to death and again... that's where it all started.
