I walked out to the quidditch pitch, feeling the sharp winter breeze against my face. I welcomed it, it woke me up. I saw Michael across the field, and he mouthed "You're going down" I couldn't help but laugh as I mouthed back "In your dreams" And turned away from him to Angelina, who was telling us how we better not disappoint her.
Madame Hooch gathered the teams and let us all get in our positions before she threw up the quaffle and blew her whistle. The game started.
I was the first to get control of the quaffle, so I made a run for it, heading right toward Michael, who I smiled at, which as I suspected distracted him as I threw the quaffle right through one of the big goalposts. Michael looked at me with puppy dog eyes and I laughed, but then I remembered I needed to focus.
The game went as expected, with Harry catching the snitch about 2 hours into the game. Before that though, I scored at least 50 points for Gryffindor. Michael only caught 1 of my throws though, which he gave me a huge smile for.
After the game finally ended, it was only about 2 or so in the afternoon. As soon as Harry caught the snitch, the stands erupted with applause and I went over to Harry to congratulate him on the big win
"Great job harry!" I said patting him on the back.
"Couldn't have done it without you" Harry smiled at me "Really gin, you played amazing"
I couldn't help but smile proudly and I was just about to rebuttal when someone attacked me from behind. I immediately freaked out and did one of the many defensive skills Charlie taught me when I was younger to flip the perpetrator over in front of me. Then I realized it was just Michael. Whoops, I may have had just a bit of an overreaction.
"Bloody hell Gin, remind me not to sneak up on you again" Michael grunted as he tried to get up from his twisted position on the ground in front of me. I noticed Harry had a smug look on his face, but I chose to ignore it
"Michael! I'm so sorry" I felt so bad. I just attacked my boyfriend, "Here let me help you up" I held out my hand to Michael, but he grabbed it and pulled me down on top of him laughing. We playfully fought for a bit, but when I finally had him, I gave him a kiss and said "beat you again" and hopped off of him, helping him up. We walked away laughing, and I looked back to see Harry looking over at us with a hint of jealousy on his face. I must just be imagining things, for one thing Harry was dating Cho. Another thing, Harry thought of me as a friend, just that. And I thought of him as a friend too, so we could never be anything. Besides I was with Michael, and I was happy with him. I don't know why I'm even thinking about this. Harry's like an older brother to me, so there could never be anything between us, right?
