She felt like something bad was coming.
"Don't worry. My dad is lord of the sky, he's on our side." Jason whispered in her ear as they walked slowly down the airplane aisle.
"How do you know he'll help if we run into trouble?" Selena asked,
Jason shrugged, "I'll just have to pray he'll make sure we have a safe trip."
"You can't count on your Godly parent all the time." She commented,
He narrowed his eyes at her, "How do you know?"
Selena paused for a moment. There it was again. That tickle in the back of her head. A memory trying to break through.
Their seats were in the back of the plane. Cato insisted he have the window seat and they let him as long as Jason got the aisle seat.
Selena grumbled as she sat in the middle.
Cato immediately snatched up some headphones and began to watch a movie on the screen in front of him while Jason began flipping his coin.
Selena turned and glared at him, "Seriously?"
"What?" He asked her,
"Do you really have to do that right now?" Selena asked,
"It's like a 12 hour flight." Jason stated,
"So sleep or something." She responded,
"You sleep." He narrowed his eyes,
"Fine." Selena hissed, laying back and closing her eyes. Jason's leg bounced up and down next to hers, every once and a while knocking knees with her. Selena opened her eyes, "Dude, seriously, why are you so nervous about flying?"
"I'm not nervous about flying." Jason responded,
"You can't be nervous about this quest. You've been on many." Selena stated,
Jason sighed, leaning his head back against the head rest, "Son of the sky must say goodbye." He mumbled,
"That could mean a lot of things, Jason." Selena told him,
"It could mean I'm going to die."
"Or it could mean you literally have to say goodbye to someone or something. I hope it's that coin, it's starting to annoy me." Selena tried to joke to lighten the mood,
It didn't really work.
"I doubt it's going to be me saying goodbye to the flight attendant." Jason stated, crossing his arms,
"Let's not worry about it now, okay? Let's just get to Italy in one piece, then we can discuss the stupid prophecy."
"Yeah, well, we've got to get to Atlanta first." Jason said,
"As long as it's not Florida." Selena commented,
"Why? What's wrong with Florida?" Jason questioned,
Selena furrowed her eyebrows, something tickling her head again, "I don't know. I've heard wild stories about the people who live there."
