"Come on, Bo. This bar is like 5 stars, it's really great. You'll like it." Kuroo egged on his best friend, desperate to get him out of his room.

After recently losing a close family member, Bokuto hadn't been himself and refused to leave his university dorm room. Kuroo, being the great friend he is, has been trying everything to cheer Bokuto up and improve his mental health.

"I don't know. I think I'll just stay in tonight." The grey haired twenty year old mumbled.
"No! You've been staying in every night. You need to get back outside, I'm worried about you Bokuto."

Bokuto felt bad, he knew how hard Kuroo was trying and he had been ignoring every attempt the raven had made.
"Fine. But only a couple hours." A smile spread across Kuroo's face and he promptly threw an outfit at his friend.
"Get dressed, we leave in ten minutes."

"Wow, this place is actually pretty nice." Bokuto commented as they entered.
"See I told you bro, let's go get a drink."

The pair headed over to the bar, Bokuto too distracted by the flickering lights throughout the room to notice the bartender waiting for his order.

"Excuse me sir, did you want to order a drink?" A smooth deep voice questioned, Bokuto turned and he felt all the air leave his lungs when he met eyes with the most beautiful person he had ever encountered in his life.

"I..Uh-um."
"He'll take a rum and coke. Keep the change." Kuroo answered for him, pushing a fifty dollar note the bartender's way.
The raven nodded and turned around to make the drinks. Bokuto could feel how hot his cheeks were.

"Jeez, stop falling in love bro." Kuroo teased quietly.
"I'm not!" Bokuto spluttered, covering his red cheeks.
"Sir's, your drinks are ready."

And there is was again, that soothing voice that made Bokuto yearn this stranger. Those emerald orbs holding his attention.
"Thanks...Akaashi." Kuroo thanked, squinting at the name tag upon the bartender's shirt.
"Say thanks Bokuto." The taller raven elbowed his friend. Bokuto snapped out of his daze.
"Uh, thanks Argaashi."

Suddenly, Bokuto's ears were filled with such a melodic sound. He swore his heart stopped beating at Akaashi's soft laughter.
"You're welcome Bokuto-san. And, it's Akaashi."
"That's totally what I said."
"Of course."

Bokuto fell in love that night.

He fell in love with the enchanting bartender.

He knew nothing about him.

Didn't know if Akaashi was his first or last name.

But those deep eyes and that voice as smooth as honey.

Ok, so I read Oikawa's last wish/es and Rainbow Veins. I'm not okay. Why do I do this to myself? Anyway, both are really good angst and are on Ao3.
