Medieval Au!

Yaku sat in his cushioned chair beside his father, watching the princes prepare for the contest. He had yet to see Lev and wondered if the tall boy would even come at all. A loud voice suddenly startled him and he noticed that the palace entertainer, Yamamoto had started talking.

"Good day people of Nekoma, the princes of Aoba Johsai, Fukurodani, Karasuno and Shiratorizawa along with their families. And of course Prince Morisuke and the King of Nekoma. Welcome all to have come to see these princes fight for our own princes love!"
The villagers cheered and the princes tried to look as cool as possible.

Yamamoto introduced all the princes and they all had their first shots. Yaku rolled his eyes at how terrible they were.
"Give them a chance son." The King warned.
"Whatever."

He tried to focus on the princes, he really did, but he found his eyes constantly wondering the crowds to see Lev. He knew that if Lev was here, he would notice him straight away due to his physical appearance. He had never seen anyone as tall as Lev in the kingdom before.
'Maybe he isn't coming.' He thought to himself sadly. He was interested to see the mysterious giant in action.

A few rounds went by and barely any arrows lodged in the bullseyes. They really did suck.
"So, any of them interested you yet? I think Prince Yuu is pretty good." Yaku rolled his eyes at his father before searching the crowds again.
"Hm." To be honest, he had forgotten which one that was.

A head of silver hair caught his eyes and when he turned to his left he saw Lev, about 50 metres away showing a big smile and waving. He had a large bow over his shoulder along with several arrows.

"And oh! It seems like we have another challenger for the prince's heart! A village boy!" Yamamoto yelled, enticing the audience. All eyes fell on Lev and the King glared at his son.
"Morisuke, what is the meaning of this? Did you invite him?"
"Yes father. Now I would like to see him shoot." Yaku snapped leaving his father speechless.

"Taketora, please allow Mr Haiba Lev to participate in the activities." Yaku ordered.
Most of the princes didn't seem to really care, none of them really wanting to get married either. Their parents though? Furious. Besides Queen Akaashi. He saw the way Yaku's eyes lit up at the appearance of Lev. He saw how Lev's bright enchanting green eyes immediately caught Yaku's attention. And with a little smile to himself, he hoped they would get together.

"You will not marry a commoner. Especially one that looks as absurd at him." The King whispered.
"Bloody watch me."

All eyes were on Lev. He took a shaky breath and met eyes with Yaku. The brunette gave him a affirmative nod with a reassuring nod and Lev felt all the nerves leave his tall lanky body. He pulled out the bow and positioned three arrows on this before aiming. Yaku watched closely, interested in how it would turn out. He was also intently watched how Lev's muscles moved he he aimed.

Gasps echoed through the crowds as all three arrows in the centre of the target. Yaku was amazed.
"Again. Please Mr Haiba." Yaku requested, eager to see Lev shoot again. Just like his vibrant eyes, his archery skills enchanted the young prince too.

I promise I will write more. I know what I want to write just not how to lead up to it yet. But hopefully another part will be out soon. Hope you enjoyed!
