"You told everyone but me? You made them lie to me but why? Why? What- you didn't think I could do it? You didn't think I could parent?" Stiles questioned and Maddie felt her eyes water at the vulnerability in his voice. "No, that's not why I did it-" Maddie's voice cracked as she gulped and Davina felt her eyes narrow, confused at what the hell was happening.

"Why then? Why did you do it, Del? Explain to me, tell me the amazing reason why you didn't tell me that I'm going to be a father!" Stiles exclaimed, his hands jittering and Maddie ran a hand through her hair as she gulped. "I didn't want to ruin your life." The Petrova girl finally whispered and the Stilinski boy's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Ruin my life? What does that even mean?" Stiles questioned in anger, and Maddie flinched. "You're a teenager and human at that, Stiles. You have your entire life ahead of you and I didn't want to waltz in with a baby and hold you back." Maddie explained, but Stiles knew her better than that. There was more to the story than just that.

"No, there's more. You didn't just not tell me because you didn't want to hold me back, there's something else. Tell me." Stiles stated and Maddie bit her lip, forgetting just how well he could read her. "I can't." The Petrova Girl whispered out, pain, vulnerability and fear written all over her face as she looked at him before taking off, speeding out of the building and sliding down the brick wall, one hand on the ground to soften her fall, and the other on her stomach. She felt her phone buzz, but she was to out of it to even hang up, let alone answer.

Stuck in her own head.

"Maddie, you can't just storm out with all the explanations as to why you would keep this from me, please just answer the damn pho-" Stiles cut himself off once he had rushed out the church doors and saw her on the floor. She hadn't even noticed him, he didn't think she would unless he snapped her out of her trance.

So he sighed, sliding next to her and placing a hand over the one she had on the floor. Slowly, Maddie lifted her head up, and she saw him, the same way he saw her. Scared. "Tell me." Stiles whispered and Maddie looked down. "I didn't want to lose you." She admitted, flinching as his face resembled one of confusion.

"Lose me? You thought I would leave?" Stiles questioned and Maddie rubbed her forehead. "Yes, well, no- I don't know. I couldn't ignore that it was a possibility, Sti. That and....and...." The Petrova girl tried but trailed off, looking away as she took a deep breath in. It's only in your head, he's still here. He's right next to you, he's okay.

"And what, Del? You need to talk to me." Stiles encouraged her lightly, feeling her hand tighten around his, watching as she closed her eyes before turning back to him. "I didn't want to put you in danger. Every moment I am with you, every moment that I love you, is putting you in danger because everyone I've ever loved leaves or dies." And then she was shrinking back, almost wanting to become one with the wall. In this moment, she was only human.

"I'm not leaving and I'm not dying on you, Del." Stiles attempted to reassure her and she shook her head. "You can't promise me things like this. Because if you die, I don't know what I'd do. If I can't kiss you, or hug you, or call you when things go to absolute shit. If I can't see you, or touch you, or hear your voice. If you're just gone and I lose you, then I will literally go insane. Because I don't want to live without you. I can't live without you. I love you." Maddie's voice cracked at the last sentence before Stiles softly cupped her face in his hands, turning her head gently to face him.

"I'm not going anywhere, Madeline Avalora Petrova. I'm not leaving you and I'm not dying on you. I promise that I will do whatever it takes to be a good father and boyfriend if you'll have me as one, but I need you to trust me and let me in." Stiles stated and Maddie nodded tears, streaming down her face.
