TAKING BREAKS WAS OFF THE TABLE WHEN YOU HAVE THINGS GOING WRONG IN ALL THREE PLACES YOU CONSIDERED HOME. Maddie learnt this ages ago and she accepted that whatever she did was for the people she loved, nevertheless, she was never not annoyed at amount of shit she had to fix.

New Orleans was turning an already stressful war into an extremely complicated game of chess where there are multiple boards all placed together and there are much more pieces than one would have expected. Madeline didn't like the rift that was forming in the Mikaelson family, especially with Klaus being as sensitive as he was from the situation with Elijah and Hayley.

Rebekah couldn't see past her bastard brother's past actions to take Elijah's betrayal into account and therefore was tarnishing her relationship with Klaus just as Elijah had.

Madeline couldn't find it in herself to deal with her sister figure when she had gotten back from Davina's attic, no matter how loud Rebekah yelled at her about why she should have helped Elijah. Of course, Maddie could've prevented it from happening, but Elijah needed to learn a lesson and that seemed to be the most effective way.

So Maddie ignored her, drowning her out by walking straight to the kitchen for a cup of apple juice and then making her way straight up her room, deciding that she would deal with Rebekah in the morning— or maybe a couple of days— when she had calmed down a bit more.

The pack of course had scampered off to their rooms to hide from the barbie vamp's wrath, not wanting to be interrogated like Maddie was.

Unfortunately, a night was not long enough for Rebekah to calm down, as she, Klaus, Maddie and Isaac were all seated in the dining room. Allison and Lydia went to visit Davina again, Malia went to check up on Hayley and Elijah, and Scott and Stiles were currently keeping an eye on Tyler.

The room was quiet, the only sounds in the room was the blood of the compelled human girl being poured into Klaus's cup. Rebekah glared out the window, a cup of tea in her hands while Maddie sat beside her with her own cup of tea and an open book in her lap.

Isaac was picking at the rather excessively large fruit platter in front of him while attempting to avoid the sight of the Original Hybrid during feeding while also trying to block out the smell of blood.

"Have you spoken to our good friend Marcel today?" Klaus questioned his sister, catching the attention of all three of the present residents. "Me or Beks?" The Petrova Hybrid questioned without looking up from her book as she took a sip of her tea.

"Rebekah. I know you haven't, you've been cuddling and whispering with your loverboy all night and all morning." Klaus retorted, causing the Petrova girl to look up, her mouth open as if to deny it, only to pause before nodding.

"Yeah no, that's fair." She accepted, before looking back down to the book in her lap. "To answer your question, Nik, no. Should I have?" Rebekah questioned with a sigh as Klaus smirked.
