MADELINE GILBERT PETROVA FELT LIKE SHIT, but nothing made her forget her problems like he did when he had his arms wrapped securely around her. She wanted to tell him, she wanted to tell him about everything, but he didn't need more of a burden on his shoulders than the one he already had.

Stiles thought he was going insane and he didn't feel safe sleeping when his dad was home, because he was afraid he'd do something stupid. But when Maddie arrived outside his house at 11 wearing a pair of his sweatpants that she must've stolen and his grey hoodie, her hair in a messy bun and a soft, tired smile on her face, he forgot all about his fear of the nightmares.

He slept dreamlessly that night, to the sound of her humming and the feeling of her fingers running through his hair. And she slept to the sound of his steady heartbeat in the safety of his bed. They had a big day tomorrow but in that moment they were at ease. They felt safe.

Maddie smiled softly at the sight of the boy sleeping and slowly unwrapped his arms from her waist. Stiles was out cold, so he didn't exactly notice the weight lifted from the side of his body, thankfully for Maddie. The Petrova Hybrid retied her hair before walking downstairs. Sheriff Stilinski was still asleep, she could hear the light snores from down the hall and smiled before walking into the kitchen.

She hated cute couple stuff, but by the amount of takeout boxes on the bench, Maddie could tell they hadn't had a proper meal since forever ago. Grabbing the tray of eggs, she put them on the bench before searching for a bowl. Grabbing it, she placed it next to the eggs before moving to the fridge.

She found the milk and also a pack of Bacon that seemed to expire in a day, so thought it'd be best to use it. After a few minutes of the bacon being on the pan, the smell wafted through the air and Maddie wasn't surprised when she heard two lots of loud footsteps hurrying down the stairs.

Upon seeing the two Stilinski's in front of her, she smiled softly at their matching confused and tired expressions, Noah more so than Stiles.

"Maddie? What are you doing here? Wait, you two didn't...no you didn't." Noah clarified as he looked between the two teenagers and Stiles's jaw dropped. "What's that suppose to mean?" Stiles questioned offended and Noah shrugged. "Just that she's, as you teenagers say, "way out of your league", son." Noah stated and Maddie giggled as Stiles stood there, offended and dumbfounded.

"To clear everything up, we didn't do anything. I did some spells to make him sleep properly and I was just staying over to make sure they worked." Maddie stated and Noah nodded giving her an appreciated look. Stiles, snapping out of his daze, drew his attention to bacon frying in the pan.

"You're making breakfast?" He questioned and Maddie nodded, turning her attention back the the hot pan. "Yeah, I saw the bacon was about to expire and thought I'd use it up. I hope you don't mind." Maddie said looking over her shoulder to the two Stilinski's who shook their heads.
