Madeline Petrova sighs from where she sat in the Mikaelson Mansion, her eyes drifting around the room at her friends. Her family.  Allison Argent was sitting next to her, rubbing her knee in comfort. Malia Tate was leaning against the wall, after multiple arguments with the Petrova Hybrid who wanted her to rest, while Malia wanted to be with her. Scott had run off after Stiles for safety precautions, and while Maddie wanted to go with him, she didn't.

She knew she fucked up, she knew she should have told him. She thought it wasn't selfish because she was doing it for him, but now that she looked at it,  she saw it was selfish because she made a very important decision for him. It was a mistake. She made a mistake. And it wasn't one where she could just say sorry and the situation would pass. She made a big mistake.

Her eyes then looked to Klaus who just stared out the window, sipping his scotch. She was worried about him and how their predicament would affect him. She was worried that this would hang over his head and she knew the second Rebekah entered the living room, that all hell would break loose, especially when Rebekah didn't know what the hell was going on.

"I thought you were leaving us." Klaus spoke first, relieving his little sister from surprised stares and awkward silence. "We both know this family can barely function without me. Where are Elijah and Hayley?" Rebekah questioned as she looked around the room, noticing two people who were nowhere in sight.

"Bayou." Maddie answered bitterly as she kept her eyes trained to the window. "And why is that?" Rebekah asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked around the room at the solemn faces. "I left them there." Klaus spoke with a shrug as he took another sip of his booze. "Why?" Rebekah asked warily and Maddie huffed at the memory as she rubbed her forehead.

"They were being fucking idiots." She growled before Allison gripped the Petrova Hybrid's hand. "Elijah and I had a bit of a row. Hayley's conspired to turn him against me. You know our brother was never one to resist a pretty face! So, one thing led to another, and I bit him, left them both stranded in the swamp." Klaus explained simply and Maddie sighed as she watched the youngest Mikaelson grow absolutely livid.

"Daggering, biting, deserting. Does your wickedness ever end?" Rebekah snapped and the Petrova Hybrid jumped up, holding the blonde's shoulder. "Beks, you know I would've stepped in if it weren't deserved." Maddie reassured the Original Vampire who closed her eyes, nodding, knowing that Maddie's words were true, but it seemed Klaus couldn't help but put his ten cents in.

"My "wickedness" is self-preservation! And I wouldn't have to go to such lengths were I not presented on all sides with ignorance and treachery!" Klaus exclaimed in utter rage and betrayal and all Maddie wanted to do was crawl into a corner as she watched her world crumble to absolute pieces around her.

"Now that Elijah's abandoned me, I'll be needing you in my plot against Marcel." Klaus spoke calmly now, in attempts to divert his own attention from his older brother's betrayal, not realising that Rebekah was still not filled in and therefore didn't understand why her oldest brother was stick in a Bayou suffering from the hands of their other brother.

The Mikaelson female glares at her brother resentfully as the Petrova Hybrid groaned at Klaus's statement. "Nik, in no way are you helping the situation." Maddie snapped whole-heartedly, shooting a pointed look in the man's direction who brushed it off.

"Don't expect to be leaving town anytime soon." Klaus ignored the pregnant Petrova as he poured himself another drink, and Rebekah scoffed at the audacity of her brother.  "Why should I help you, after what you did to Elijah?" Rebekah questioned as she walked over to where Allison was sitting and sat next to the brunette who offered a smile as Maddie moved back to where she was seated earlier.
