"... now as you can see, this single electrical circuit powers not only one but all three light bulbs," Arlyn explained to her third years the next morning.

They have finally reached the part where they learned about electric circuits and how they were used to power Muggle technology. Each student had to build a circuit from scratch - she helped them, of course - and that morning they were testing them out.

"And it's not just light bulbs that work this way. Muggles use this method to power entire buildings, of course, the circuit would only be bigger and the batteries more powerful," she clapped her hands together expectatly, "Alright, now let's see what you've got."

She wandered through the desks, stopping at each student to see the outcome of their weekend assignments. A Gryffindor boy built a tiy house out of card box, in with he added a smaller light bulb on the inside. When he flipped the switch on his circuit, the bulb flickered on and lit up the house. The other students watched in awe, finding everything about the lesson fascinating.

Another student from Hufflepuff managed to power a miniature fan with their circuit.

To say she was impressed with their efforts and understanding of the subject was an understatement. By the time their class ended, Arlyn had rewarded each and every student ten points for their hard work and dedication. And due to most of her students being Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, those two houses were ecstatic for the boost in house points.
