The New Girl

Chapter 10

Lucy's pov

*flashback continues*

It was the end of week 2 at camp we had done so many activities it was great I had really got to know Toni and Ellie, I woke up early this morning so I decide to go for a shower, I grabbed all of my toiletries and a set of clothes, putting on my shoes I opened the tent quietly and shutting it again so the others didn't get cold, I walked to the showers seeing a few other early birds and the some of the staff not quiet awake themselves, I got to the building opening the door letting the other girl to leave I closed the door behind me and took the far left cubical, I placed all of my stuff down on the bench provided and turned the shower on, I let it ran so I could warm It up, I started to undress when I heard someone come in, I jumped in the shower letting the warm water hit my body.

I stayed in the shower for about 20 minutes, I stepped out of the shower I grabbed my towel and started drying myself off I put my clothes on and wrapped everything else in the towel, I opened the cubical door and walked out minding my own business forgetting that someone else was in here, without noticing I bumped into them, "oh I'm so sorry" I said picking up my dropped clothes, I looked up to see Toni standing there in a towel I couldn't take my eyes of her, I swallowed the lump in my throat, "hey it's okay" she said leaning towards me "do you like what you see," she whispered into my ear, I drifted my gaze away from her, with a blush coming to my cheeks "no... yes... I mean I'm sorry" she laughed as she grabbed her bag that was on the hook in front of her cubical, honestly this past week this girl could kill me for just the way she looks, I couldn't help my feelings for her.

"hey what you planning tonight?" I asked her, she looked at me with a crooked eye brow, "nothing yet, why?" she replied with water dripping from her hair, still in her towel "do you want to hang out, just us?" I said with confidence and a smile, she smiled back "sure" she said shutting the door so she could get dressed, "okay cool, I'll see you back at the tent" I said leaving the room, I walked back with a skip in my step, yes I have a crush on a girl to whom I've just met but these past 2 weeks have been the best, just because of her she makes me laugh and I haven't been able to in a while, everything has been building up, with my mum getting worse and drinking more, her abuse getting worse with every drink, but everything got better since the first day of camp, since meeting her.

We all went to a big group meeting like every morning, "good morning campers so, this past week you guys have had nonstop train of fun so, today we... are... going to give you guys an entire free day, so you can do whatever you want, where ever you want... but with some limitations of course" the camp leader said with a chuckle at the end, we all sat there waiting for him to continue when someone came up behind me I tensed up not knowing who was behind me, "hey do you want to hang out after this and talk?" I relaxed realising it was Toni, I turned around to see her kneeling next to me "absolutely" I said smiling she smiled back putting her hand on my arm, "alright guys if you want to leave the camp sight you have to let your team leader know so they can tell you what time you need to be back okay guys, but apart from that you can do whatever you want, so go and have fun guys and gals" he finished off.

"hey if you want to be alone we could go off camp, I saw a park near by its like 5 minutes down the road" Toni said with a smile, I smiled back and nodded "I'll go tell harry" I said I noticed Ellie walking over to us, I nodded my head in her direction as I walked off to find harry, I turned my head back to see Toni and Ellie talking, I really hope she doesn't come, "hey Lucy wait up" oh god no please no I turned to see Ellie and Toni walking to me, of course she's coming "Ellies going to come with us, is that cool" she looked at me defeated with a sorry look in her face "sure why not it'll be fun" I said hoping I sounded convincing, "cool I'll go and sort out my bag, I have some money we can get some snacks", 5 minutes later we all got our stuff and was a few minutes away from the park, we walked through the gates of the park Ellie ran to the swings I held back.

"hey, are you upset with me?" Toni said looking upset, I looked at her and then back to Ellie, no I'm not upset with you but her yes, "no, not really, more with her then you" I said truthfully I looked back at her we stopped walking she turned to me, and took my hand, "look she's my best friend and I came on this trip so she wasn't alone and she begged me, she has no one else on this camp that she would talk to, I'm sorry ill make it up to you I promise, you will have my full attention tonight after dinner..." she said before she was interrupted by Ellie "hey guys are you coming over or what, its really cool over here, there's a pond..." she shouted we turned to look at her "we will be there in a minuet Ellie" Toni shouted back not letting go of my hand, "it's okay Toni as long as it's just me and you tonight?" I said dragging her along up to where Ellie was, she was sat on the edge of the bank.

"I have an idea" Toni said before letting go of my hand and running fullpelt at Ellie and then I heard a splash and the most beautiful laugh I couldhave ever heard, Toni was standing laughing her head of and holding her stomach, Icouldn't help but laugh either, "arrrr, what was that for you bitch...." Elliesaid getting out of the pond drenched, you could smell the pond on her, itsmelled nasty, "I guess you're going to have to go back and get differentclothes" Toni said then it went by so quickly Ellie ran straight for Toni theyran around until Ellie was out of breath I guess Toni is faster than Ellie"uhrr fine but I'm taking the snacks, and I'm not coming back if you guys are goingto be like that, bitches" she said picking her rucksack up and sludging of backto camp, I couldn't help but laugh at the sound she turned her head round soquickly, "if you don't stop laughing I will chase you too... Lucy" she saidangerly, we watched as she carried on walking out of sight to camp.
