Toni's pov

I see my sister laying on the sticky floor with her head on Brett's knee, "where's her bag?" Ellie passes me her bag, "Kate do you have any of our glucose tubes here" I ask I see her run off behind the bar as I turn back to her pulling her bag onto my lap going through her bag, "where's her blood sugar kit?" I say as I keep rummaging through her bag, in frustration I throw it to the ground, I get my bag from my side opening it grabbing my kit out, setting it up I pick her finger drawing blood, I placed it on the meter with it reading at 2.6 "Kate quickly" I shout I take out another strip out but it was a different colour, I tested how bad her ketones was it was 1.2, "can someone tell me how long this ambulance is going to be" I shout, as I feel a hand on my back turning I see a reassuring smile from Lucy, "she's going to be fine" she says as Kate comes running back with a white box, she passes me it and I ripe it open, pulling one of the tubes out I break the cap off, "open her mouth slightly please" I say as Brett looks at me funny, "come on" I say as he does what I say, I push the tube into her mouth pushing the fluid out emptying it all into her mouth, when a paramedic walks over to us with a bag, "hey what's her name?" he says as he places his bag down beside him kneeling down beside her head, "its Tricia, she's a type 1 diabetic like me" I get out quietly.

"when did she hit the floor" he says putting something on her finger, I look to Ellie and Brett, "erm, about 20 minutes ago, seconds before we rang for an ambulance" Brett says as he holds her spare hand, I look to the hand and back up to him, with a curious look I turn to Lucy she rubs my back and reassures me with a smile, I turned back to Tricia as she started to stir, the paramedic radios through to his partner, "can you please bring the stretcher she's starting to wake up" he says within five minutes his partner comes through with the stretcher, we help placing the bored underneath her, stepping back we let them lift her up placing her on the ambulance bed, I followed them out to the ambulance everyone followed behind, "we need a family member to come, the rest can meet at the hospital" the guy side as he finished pushing her into the ambulance, "I'm her sister" I said he moved out the way helping me into the back, "you can sit on that chair" he said pointing to the one on the side the other paramedic was sat on the other one with her back to the wall, "Toni, we'll see you at the hospital" Lucy says as she blows me a kiss, I smile back as they close the door and starting the engine up, we drive to the hospital in under 20 minutes.

We get out as soon as Tricia starts to wake up, "Toni..." she says as I grab her hand, "it's okay, you going to be fine" I say as I rub her hair out of her face, we walk through the doors to A&E when a doctor comes up to us, "you're going to have to wait in the waiting room, the nurse will show" she says as she directors a nurse to help me, "but I'm her sister" I say in disagreement, she gives me a look and I put my hands up in defence, "we will call you through when she's ready okay" I nod my head in agreement, as I followed the nurse to the waiting room, where I see Lucy walking around in worry biting her nails in concern, "hey Toni, is she okay" Ellie says as everyone looks up to see me walking towards them, Lucy walks to me bringing me into a hug, I don't fight back and pull her in tighter breathing in the smell of her hair, "I'm so glad you're here, I don't know what I would do without you" I say whispering into her ear, she tightens the grip and releases giving me a kiss on the cheek, "of course I would be here" she whispers into my ear, "I wouldn't be anywhere else" she said pulling away, "how is she?" I hear Brett say from the back quietly, I looked to him and back to Lucy, I smiled at her and walked past her to him.

"She started to wake up when we got here, but they didn't let me go in with them" I said, giving him a hug I whisper into his ear, "I know and she's going to be fine, we will talk about this later" I said pulling away smiling, he looked at me shocked I turned around at everyone noticing the shock on their face, "oh guys, I'm just thanking him for having her head on his lap" I shared as I gave him a winking at him as he hides his face in his hand, when the doctor comes into the room, "is there a Antoinette Cortez" she said at the entrance, I turned to her "yeah that's me" I say walking forward, I feel Lucy taking my hand and follows me to her, "you sister can have one visitor at the moment" she says I turn to Lucy and smile, "tell you brother I'm going to see her first and then he can come in after" I say smiling placing a kiss on her lips, I pull back seeing a few people staring at us, I just smile and turn to the doctor, "okay where is she" I say smiling, I follow her out the door down the corridor to where she was, I walked through the door with her lying in the bed it looked like she was a sleep but she moved when she heard the door close, "oh Toni, finally" she said I rushed to her side giving her a hug, "I knew you would be fine" I whispered into her hair.
