Chapter 15:

At Dinner.
Taylor Swift was over and the girls were so excited to see her.

Kristy: Taylor, I miss you
Taylor: I miss you too Kristy, it's been a while since I saw you. I remember meeting you when you were 6, and the twins were this big in their mom's belly, you got so big, how old are you now?
Kristy: 15, I remember when Joe introduced you to our parents, they loved you so much
Taylor: I love them too, sorry I didn't make it to the funeral, I was on tour
Kristy: it's okay, I didn't go either
Taylor: Why not?
Kristy: I just didn't go okay *eats her food*
Taylor: o-okay *looks at Joe curiously*
Joe: she doesn't like talking about our parents that much
Kristy: can we please stop talking about it, I just want to enjoy a nice meal without bringing them up
Nick: Kristy...
Kristy: Nick, please... drop it
Nick: okay, will drop it

Nick and Joe looked at each other worried and the family ate in silence.

Kristy left to do homework and the girls, and Taylor said.

Taylor: boys, what's going on with Kristy? Why does she get angry when people mention her parents to her?
Joe: Kristy took the death of our parents harder than everyone else
Taylor: poor girl, what happened
Joe: she blames herself for what happened
Taylor: why would she blame herself, she did nothing wrong?
Joe: That's what we tried to explain to her. The night my parents died, it was a stormy night, Kristy was at a sleepover, she called mom or dad to come pick her up after their date night because she was scared of the thunderstorm. The next thing I knew, I got a call from the hospital while I was in NY with my band. I got the terrifying call, about my parents and they were found dead in Woodlands Lake
Taylor: how did they end up over the bridge?
Joe: I don't know, maybe my dad saw something and served himself over the river. It took them awhile to find their bodies in the river
Taylor: I'm so sorry Joe, that must have been so terrifying for the girls to lose them at such a young age
Joe: yeah
Taylor: I can't imagine ever giving this life up to take care of my family. You did a good thing Joe
Joe: thanks Taylor
Taylor: I'm sorry for putting our business out on public
Joe: it's fine Taylor, it's all in the past
Taylor: I'm proud of you, you know. You definitely changed a lot since I first met you.
Joe: yeah...
Nick: thanks to me *smiled proud*
Joe: oh yeah... you were visiting when we met in central park
Mads: *comes down the stairs with Riley* Joeeeeeeeee
Joe: *looks up* yeah Mads?
Mads: Riley and I ready for bed
Joe: alright, I will be up in a minute, come say goodnight girls

Riley and Mads come downstairs. Riley hugged Nick and Mads hugged Joe. They both kissed their forehead and Taylor smiled at them. The girls switched places and did the same thing before giving Taylor a hugged goodnight.

Taylor: I better get going anyways. I have a flight to catch tomorrow
Joe: thanks for stopping by Taylor
Taylor: all is good, and Joe can I talk to you alone for a minute
Joe: uh... sure

Both of them step outside and into the hallway and Taylor said.

Taylor: go for her
Joe: what?
Taylor: I saw the way you look at her at lunch today Joe. Talk to Sophie, take her out
Joe: I can't
Taylor: Why not?
Joe: that's my best friend sister, it's a bro code thing
Taylor: talk to Nick
Joe: I don't want to ruin things with us because I have a crush on his sister
Taylor: didn't you know Sophie longer before you met Nick
Joe: yeah we grew up together. Our mom's were best friends, that's why we can't be together. What happens if we do try to be together
Taylor: Joe, I see the way she looks at you, she feels the same way. Relationship will have obstacles of course but the new Joe is different
Joe: what if I fail?
Taylor: you won't fail, get your girl Joe
Joe: thanks Taylor *kiss her cheek and runs down the hall*
Taylor: where are you going?
Joe: to get my girl
Taylor: now?
Joe: I'm not taking any chances *enters the elevator*
Taylor: good luck
Joe: thanks *elevator closes on him*
