Radio

I'm just the radio that sits on your shelf,
Nothing and nobody else.

You flip the power switch and turn up my volume,
Just to pass time and make noise in an empty room.

The same song plays,
The one that sounds like yesterday.

Try to change it,
But these buttons, you try to push them.

When I get too loud,
You shut me down

And mute me again,
The cycle never ends.

Put a CD in and turn it up,
Repeat a song till it's too much.

When you're tired of me put me away,
I'm where you always put me in the corner of the shelf.

The time passes and I'm back to where I was when it was at the beginning of the day,
I'm nobody else...
