Chapter 36

Been born in this town, every corner of this city is known to me like some mental map. It took my car around 20minutes to reach the address Avni texted me. When I was almost to reach I called Avni that I'm close to arrival.

As I maneuver my car to the big entrance gate at Ayan's apartment compound. My gaze spot two fingure at the gate.

Avni and Ayan in some conversation. It got stopped and their head whirled towards me the moment head lights of my car fell on their face. I immediately put them off and the engine.

I climbed down the car, stepped out, slammed the door shut. Because of the weather I didn't bother to change something into formal so I was in my shorts and Tee.

Plastering a soft smile on his lips Ayan walked towards me with Avni in behind few steps away him. My gaze gauged Avni our eyes met for few seconds before I averted my glance, pulled them back at Ayan.

I returned him the same smile as they reached to me and Ayan clasped my hand for a greeting handshake.

"Avni said you wouldn't go to my house so we will wait here for you to reach" His voice hint me complaining. Yes I instructed Avni to get down when I was five minutes away the spot.

"Yup I did...as we can't assume the weather so far....a minute delay could lead us stuck" I stated, returned Ayan a smile broader than him and his grin widened. Something genuine this time. Indeed this Ayan guy has never gave me vibes anything innocuous.

My eyes moved back to Avni who has silently listening to our all endearment, exchanges, standing beside Ayan that is few steps away me.

She is wearing a denim knee length skirt pairing with a grey cotton baggy top. Looking anxious about something that I would like to figure out soon.

That's my favourite. Such outfit of her remind me of our old days when I used to find excuses to spend most of my time with her when I didn't know what was happening to me. Why I crave to see her 24/7!, why my heart skips, my body jolts with current pass through my veins when I catch her staring at me! the days I started figuring out that to some extent she is transforming into something more to me, other than the little sister of my neighbour; classmate; great friend Aravi.

Waving Ayan good bye, Avni settled in the seat next to me. And me giving him a goodbye hand rise through the windshield I ignited the engine. And he did the same to both of us in reply, gave small node.

I took a hurry glance behind to make sure the route is clear backside before I took Uturn and pulled out of his compound.

"If you are mad at me then spill" taking some few glances of me since near about 10mintues Avni finally spoke.

"Why I would be mad at you!" I replied, my eyes still focused on the road ahead.

"I know you are and you can admonish me for anything" she muttered those last words which I heard clear being a arms distance from her. Avni sighed, turned her face away me. She looked outside her side window, made me smile. She is too adorable.

"How could I be when you are my jaan" I let out a chuckle. Yes I'm not pissed anymore with the situation. I trust her and she loves me, then why making things complicating, mulling over all those errant!

"Then why you are not looking at me!" She sulked, caused me took a quick study of her facade. Instead my grin broadened seeing her grumping.

"Do you want us to get into accident Avii!" I asked averting my gaze back to road ahead. I shifted a bit on my seat.

"If I would look at you then how would I focus on road!" This appeared Avni sighed, go silent, turned to her side window.

Some more few minutes passed Avni being oddly silent. I took a small glance of her face was turned other side then my attention back to the drive.

With a single screeching sound I abruptly parked the car at a spot at a side safely and turned off the engine.
By then it started to dizzle outside. Very few vehicle passing around due to the weather condition in this early hour.

"What happened why you stopped the car!" She enquired, looked at me with her eyes creased, skittish .
I replied nothing instantly at her query, instead meticulously unfastened my seat belt.

As soon as I'm free from the fasten next moment my action took her breath away. Literally breath away, for some seconds. You won't believe.

I held her upper arm and yanked her so that she forced to move closer to me. She stifled, aghast. Her mouth blew a loud gasp, eyes widened, feverish. Her hands slammed on my chest for that hasty pull. And her touch caused heart slammed my ribcage, even over the Tee fabric covering my skin. My eyes got closed for a split seconds in order to inhale that feel inside me.

Our face an inch closer. My one hand clutching the steering wheel, other one looped around her arm.

I grinned in my head at the effect I'm causing being this close to her.

A slight concieted smirk appeared on my lips when her eyes left my gaze then moved down to my mouth. My mouth.
She bit her lips and my inner god breath hoarse, wished to bite them even harder.

My throat blobbed a hard swallow, heart leaped inside my chest in result of my own scroching thoughts.

Avni what are you doing to me.

I slowly pulled my hand upward to her face off the steering wheel. I pushed a thick strand of her hair away her face, tuck it neatly behind her ear. She gazed up, blinked her eyes twice when my finger brushed her ear lobe gently. Even it caused shiver down my spinal cord same as her.

Our faces were dangerously close. One careless move and we could land in a most arousing zone. Atleast for me. I was that eager to kiss her. I have waited long enough to get her this close.

"What do you want me too do to prove you I'm not mad at you!" My voice raspy, overly cooing. My gaze dark at her lips then up into her eyes passing through her glasses.

My words made Avni gulped, licked her dried lips. Her tongue stick out and went in quickly. I want to suck it hard. A mere thought my heart did somersault inside.

"Huh!" I asked shortly, wriggled my brows once and then leaned to her lips. What if I taste those rosy soft petal like lips of her now and here!

The thought created a sharp tug in my groin. Yes it did.

Her lips parted, she heaved a breath that fanned on my mouth.

"We are getting late" her voice whispered, breathy. Our eyes locked.

"Are we!!" I husked back. My voice extremely sensuous. My hands moved forward, passed through her hair, paused on her neck. My fingers made patterns at that spot on her skin.

Avni is in a breathing mess, my touch over her neck caused her eyes shut, she gulped, then breath softly.

And now no more looking back. With my thumping heart I took the cue, filled the gap between us.
