I had thought to inform Avni about today's weather when I heard she will be with Ayan the whole evening. Though it's a weekend but because of the Aman and his team, they made me forget the entire thing. We are working on a big project since a month where some issues appeared and I had to have a Skype chat with the guy our client is.

I did know it earlier, that she is going to his apartment to settle down his home but promptly everything changed inside me when she called me to say she wouldn't be making up for dinner tonight. Which we had planned last week.

Within an hour later I came down the stairs, joined Papa and Bebe in the hall. They were lounging in the couch chatting, watching a travel show on Television. This is their every weekend routine. Having green tea followed by some heavy evening snacks while watching someone's travel story, in between reminiscing our old days when we used to tour different states during our summer vacations.

Shoving a hand in my short's pocket I walked to them, my face inscrutable.

Before I took my seat beside Bebe I informed Mom..."Mom Avni is not joining us for dinner" Mom was holding the spatula stirring the kheer she stopped, frown at me.

Mom is making kheer for Avni. Avni says only Mom can make the world best kheer. As she is very fond of sweets at the end of her meals, therefore everytime we call her for dinner or lunch in our place Mom never forget to serve her some sweet dish.

Mom's face drained out all the enthusiasm she had a second back while cooking for her little daughter. Despodently she turned her face back to the cooking vessel on the oven and resumed moving the spatula slowly loosing all her exultation she was a couple of seconds ago.

Since Mom met Avni at lunch last week she is back to her normal charming state. As usually she does chasing me and Aman all the time with her words. Having the regular banters, her and Bebe.

Don't know what magic Avni did in those few hours going for lunch with her, which Papa couldn't succeed the whole day being with her.

Before Papa and Bebe asked me the cause my ph buzz again and when I glanced at the caller ID, the screen showed me the name Avni.

My pulse crescendo, forehead creased.l I immediately pressed the device to my ear and uttered the word 'Hello' holding the astonishment grew in my chest.

"Can you please collect me! I'll text you the address" Avni mumbled meekly and when I heard her my chest let out a deep sigh, I didn't realise I was holding.

"And please tell Sweta Mom I'm joining her in dinner" I know she is pouting. A smile made its way to my lips envisioning her jutted lips. I flushed at my condition. Everytime she does this she thaw my heart. Avni has this immense effect on me and I can't stay mad at her for long.

"Yup coming" our call cut short. I looked at Bebe then Papa now their heads twirled away the television, they are starting at me in anticipation. I hide my boyish grin, transformed it in a tight smile when my eyes rested at Bebe for few seconds before I pulled them away purposefully.

Keeping my expression impassive upward to my Mom's direction I raised my voice in attempt to grabbed the attention from my mother.

"Mom Avni is joining us...I'm going to fetch her from Ayan's place" I declared. Before I repeat my words to make sure Mom heard me, my ph chimed receiving a text. And My eyes reading it I rose up my seat, ambled to the cupboard, grabbed my car keys.

"Chalo kisika mood to nahi bigra" I heard Bebe muttered under her breath in a tried to bridle her tease while Papa let out a cough followed by few small ones. I rolled my eyes.

I didn't look behind I know they are making fun of my mood few minutes back. My lips couldn't fade the smile I was hiding behind my straight-faced look. I scurried down three small steps emerging my house main entrance and marched towards the garage.
