Chapter Twenty : Aftermath

(Yuki's pov)

-1 month later-

I walked down the hallway to class with a skip in my step.

It's been one whole month since Meia's mother.

I opened the door to my classroom and smiled.

Afterwards, Meia decided to stay permanently and became vice principal so that she could work alongside Mephisto. Rose stopped being an assassin and became a full time student. She lives with me now.

After, it was officially announced to everyone that I was not dead and that my funeral was a BIG misunderstanding, I was allowed to go back to school.

About me and renzo, well....

I blushed as I sat down in my chair in front of paku.

I waved good morning to her behind me and turned back around in my desk and saw Renzo enter the room.

Renzo walked over to me and I kissed him quickly on the lips and he sat down at the desk beside mine.

"Hey sweetie. " I said and leaned over and kissed him again.

Paku frowned behind me and crossed her arms.

"Get a room, you two. " she said and began staring out the window.

Renzo smirked and said, " We already got one. We're in it. "

Paku groaned.

"All I'm saying is keep it to yourself lovebirds..." she said.

--about four hours later--

It was gym time and today I had to climb the rope in the gymnasium as my one of my final grades in P.E.

Rose cheered me on from the sidelines, alongside Izumo, Paku, and Renzo.

I sent them a confident grin and made my way towards the rope hanging from the roof in the middle of the gymnasium.

I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding and grabbed the rope tightly.

I pulled it, checking for any loose threads and decided it was fine.

I grabbed it and bit by bit I climbed up halfway.

I could feel my hands shaking, getting sweatier and starting to slip.

I couldn't move and I could feel my self becoming more and more dizzy.

Rose was the first to relize that something was wrong with me.

"Yuki! " she shouted and ran off the bleachers towards me.

I can't feel my own hands, I thought as I started to fall.

I could feel pain though, all over me.

What's happening!

"Yuki! " Rose shouted.

I closed my eyes and surrendered to whatever was happening to me.

Think of home, Yuki.

Think of blue skies, Yuki.

Think of nice things like puppies and... happy rainbow unicorns...

Then I felt a a huge weight on my head.

I opened my eyes and I wasn't in my gymnasium anymore.

I was in a white blank space.

"Your wish has been granted. " I heard a voice say.

Who is this!

"I am everything." the voice said.

"My wish? " I thought aloud.

"Your true wish. I'm sorry I couldn't give it to you sooner. You and many others had to prove yourself ready. "

"Ready for what? "

"Forgiveness. Love. Redemption. " the voice said.

Then I felt myself fall again.
