Chapter Eleven : He's Dead.

After I had explained everything to my dad and all the crazy things that had happened today I got some silence.

Then-

"Storybook characters? "

"I know, I know. It's kinda hard for me to take seriously too. But Meia thinks that the book is a prophecy or something. I strangely trust her. " I said.

"What did Meia mean by saying we all have to stick together? " mom asked.

"She said her mom doesn't like me or her or anyone. Don't you think if we stick together we have lesser chance of dying? We're not in a horror movie, we don't have to be split up. " I said.

"True. But how can we find these stor-people, by tomorrow? It's completely dark outside now and everyone's going to sleep. " mom said.

"I think I found one today. Paku. "

"Paku! " dad said.

"She said something about her being in this charity called, Servants Of The Unfortunate. She could be the servant from the story. "

"And so could everyone else who works there. " dad said.

"I know it's a long shot, but it's all we have to go on. "

"Yuki! " I heard kuro scream.

Me and dad both jumped up and ran towards kuro whose cries came from outside.

"Kuro! What is it! " I yelled.

"Yuki, look! " kuro said.

I found kuro by one of the school benches crying his little cat eyes out.

"Kuro, what is-" dad said.

We both stared at who was on the bench.

It was Tai.

He was in my class.

I borrowed a pencil from him once.

He's dead.

How do I know?

He's covered in Rose's curse.

"Oh my god. " I heard mom say as she finally caught up.

I put a hand up to my mouth to keep from gagging.

It's Rose's curse.

He's covered in it.

Didn't she say that her curse kills people?

But she wouldn't kill tai.

She said it herself, that she'd hate to harm anyone.

But that look in her eyes when she talked about her brother.

That was a murderous look.

Could she have killed tai?

"Umm... Dad? Call the police. Quick. " I said.

Dad jumbled his hands around in his pockets searching for his phone and I walked closer to dead Tai.

"Yuki, don't touch him! " mom yelled.

"I'm not gonna touch him! I'm just looking for clues... "

Then I saw the hand print on his face.

It looked like a girls hand.

Oh goodness.

I backed away and ran off towards the school dormitories.

"Yuki, what are you doing! " mom said.

"I think I know who killed tai! "
