Chapter 38

A/N a little bit from my last chapter got cut off for some reason, so here is the rest:

Rest of chapter 37:
Lucas and I sat on the hammock, just swinging back and fourth slowly.

After a little while, Lucas stood up and I looked down.

My clothes and hair were soaking wet, and so was Lucas's.

"We are soaked." I said, chuckling.

Lucas nodded, "you are still beautiful with wet hair."

I blushed. "Shut up Lucas."

Lucas rubbed my cheek. "It's true."

I put back my wet hair. "Whatever, you should get going."

Lucas nodded again and we looked up at the sky.

It was still raining, but not as hard as it was.

Lucas looked down at me and said, "see you tomorrow."

"See you."

He was about to go when he leaned down and our lips connected.

We shared that super cliche moment together in the rain.

Chapter 38:
A week has passed, and it is now winter break.

I closed my locker when Lucas came up behind me.

I jumped, at the touch of his hands on my sides. "Lucas!"

He smirked at my reaction. "Sorry."

"You've gotta stop doing that." I said.

"I've only done it three times!" Lucas said, defending himself.

"You've been counting?" I said, smirking.

Lucas shrugged and put his arm around me. "I count all my moments with you."

We walked out the school and I laughed.

"That was so cheesy Lucas."

"But adorable."

"Okay fine I'll give you that." I said, heading to his car.

Lucas gives me rides after school since the bus sucks and aunt Becky is at work.

"Wanna hang out?" I asked Lucas.

Lucas shook his head. "Can't. Family crap."

Lucas looked at me slightly, "and please Maya, we wouldn't hang out."

He licked his lips and I sighed, "you know what I mean."

We arrived at my house and I opened my car door.

"See you later." I said, waving to him.

"No goodbye kiss?" Lucas said, pouting.

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Later Lucas."

I flirtatiously winked and shut the door, heading to my front door.

~the next day~
I opened my closest and looked inside.

It was my first day of winter break and I was ice skating with Lucas.

I just got out of the shower and was looking for warm clothes.

I found some heavy clothes, boots and jackets and slipped them on.

Putting on a warm hat, I headed down the stairs and got out my cell phone.

I dialed a number and held it up to my ear.

"Hello?" The person on the other end said.

"Hey Riley, wanna go ice skating?" I asked.

"Sure." She said.

"Bring Farkle, we can make it a double date."

Riley's tone changed. "I don't think Lucas likes me."

"He likes you, why would you think that?"

Even though I couldn't see her, I could tell she was shrugging.

I shook it off and said, "see you soon."

I hung up and saw Lucas's car out front.

"Bye aunt Becky! I'll be back later!" I said, shutting the front door.

I hopped into the car and we were off to pick up Riley and Farkle.

A/N
I'm sorry this chapter is short and rushed, I'm back at school today and my mom takes my phone away because I got bad grades.

I'm trying my hardest to update all my stories though. School sucks.

I don't know how much more chapters this story will have, but it's almost over. 😢
