Chapter 20

"What's your name??" The lady asked behind the counter.

The woman bit her lip. "Not important. I just need to see her."

"Actually it is important--"

"I. Just. Need. To. See. Her." The woman said, annoyed.

Lucas slowly stepped away from her, still confused.

"Room 156" the lady said awkwardly.

"thank you." The woman said, walking away.

"Wait!!" Lucas said, running after her.

The woman picked up her speed once she heard his voice.

"How do you know Maya??" He said, walking behind her.

She didn't answer.

"Hello?? I'm talking to you!!" Lucas said, annoyed.

The woman turned out and sighed. "Who might you be exactly??"

"Umm... Lucas friar." He said hesitantly.

Her expression barely changed. "Nice to meet you Lucas."

A nurse suddenly came out and told the woman and Lucas "there are no visitors at this time."

Then she walked away.

Lucas was concerned for Maya, but he needed to know who this woman was.

"Who are you??" He repeated.

She slowly turned towards Lucas and spoke.

"I'm Katy. Katy hart."

Riley's POV:
I hung up my phone and sighed.

I tried getting ahold of Maya, but I've gotten no luck.

We haven't talked since I told her everything between Farkle and I...

I put my phone in its charger and just sat back on my bed.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on my window.

"Maya!!" I exclaimed, getting up.

It wasn't Maya. It was Farkle.

"Oh..." I said.

"I know we aren't on speaking terms but Riley I have a problem."

I turned my back towards him. "What is it??"

"I have no idea where Lucas is."

I slowly turned around to look at him. "I don't know where Maya is."

"Try calling??" He asked.

"Yeah. You??"

"Yeah..."

I sat up in my bed. "I'm sure they are just... Getting over everything, I guess..."

"Yeah.. I gotta go now." Farkle said, standing up.

"Okay.."

He started to walk away when he turned around. "Riley???"

"Yeah??"

"I missed you." And he was gone.
