Chapter 9

I walked, the cold air hitting me as I sped up my pace.

Why didn't I bring a jacket? I thought, wrapping my arms around my body.

I found Farkle's house and stood looking at it.

I barely knew him and I was just coming to his house like a stalker....

Oh well!

I went up to the door and saw Minkus on the door. Yep, this is it.

I knocked on the door. I stood there a few seconds, and it was silent.

I tapped my feet impatiently.

I slowly reached for the doorknob and found the door unlocked.

I slowly went inside and called out "hello??"

No voices. I went around the room, searching.

Then I saw Farkle. "Farkle?"

"Maya??"

"We gotta talk." I said, going inside.

"Umm... What are you doing here?" I said awkwardly.

"Oh haha... So I gotta talk to you about Riley." I said, sitting on his bed.

Farkle's expression like Riley's had when I asked her.

"She didn't tell you??" He said quietly.

I started to get worried. "No. What is it? Please tell me."

Farkle took a deep breath. "Riley and I broke up... Actually she broke up with me.

I left Farkle's house about 10 minutes later.

I can't believe Riley broke up with farkle...

He's a total nerd but Riley isn't that harsh.

I was heading to her apartment now to get more details.

My phone suddenly buzzed.

I took my phone out of my pocket and smiled. It was a text from Lucas.

I opened up the text and read it.

Lucas: you are a bitch and I never want to see your face again, we are through.
