I walked down to the coffee shop I was working at, pulling on my apron and looking at the person walking up.
"A-Annabeth?" I stuttered.
The blond just looked confused, "who?"
"Annabeth, it's me, Percy," I said slowly.
That seemed to trigger something in her, "Percy. Percy. Percy. Annabeth. I'm Annabeth. Annabeth. Greek Gods are real. How could luke do that? You drool in your sleep. NO! STOP!" She murmured, looking down.
It seemed like she was going through years of her life, as if she had forgotten everything. She looked back up at me, grey eyes scared.
"Percy, I just forgot everything,"
She collapsed the moment she said that, and I asked Jo to cover my shift. Picking the blond up, I carried her the few block up to our apartment and filled the rest of the guys in on what happened.
It was a day before she finally woke up, and I'd be lying if another thought even crossed my mind. And when she did woke up, I was with her.
"Percy? I'm so sorry that we drove you out. I told them this would happen and we needed to take it slow but-"
"I'm not important. Earlier you forgot everything, and were completely different then normal, somethings wrong. What do you remember?"
"After you, Luke, Leo, and Nico disowned the gods, something changed. Those in the shadows for more than an hour start forgetting their lives, and the few tending to fire have the same thought. Stealing is the exact same,"
"What about water?" I blurted out.
Her face darkened. "It's the worst. You even touch it, and you mindlessly go somewhere else, then forget everything,"
"How do you get memories back?"
"The same way you brought mine back. Seeing your past. I think. I don't know what happens when memories fade,"
"But?" I asked, knowing there was one last thing.
"But I think just because your done with Greek mythology doesn't mean it's done with you. Your still the hero of Olympus, and if you don't return, everything you've done for the gods will be undone,"
