There two boys had set up in the same hideout as last time, a place where even Nico and Percy didn't know.

Now they were both sitting in their sleeping bags next to each other and watching the fire die out in silence.

That silence was soon interrupted by Luke who looked at the elfish boy in question. "Why did you leave camp?"

"What?" Leo asked, slowly.

Luke couldn't know right? Percy and him both wanted to die, but did his reaction lead like to the truth?

"You know why I left. You even know why percy and Nico left. But what about you?"

"I-I don't want you to look at me differently," Leo mumbled, looking down.

Luke placed his hand on Leo's chin, gently pulling his head up. "I can never look at you differently than the smart, funny, amazing boy you are,"

Leo blushes a bit but looked back away, "you looked at Percy differently,"

"You-you want to die? Why?"

"Because I don't matter. It's all my fault my mom is dead. It should've been me,"

"But it wasn't," Luke said, "the fates could've cut your string but they didn't. And it's for a reason. They could've killed you whenever they want but your still alive and that's for a reason,"

"And what if it's a bad reason?"

"Then screw them. I can tell your a good person,"

"But everything just feels too real. It's my life, not some fanfiction made by a thirteen year old who has no social life. I'm a murderer, I killed my own mother,"

"That was a accident. She knows it and deep down, you know it too. So what if your life feels real? That's because it is,"

"But nothing that's real is ever good, so why can't I just leave?"

Before he realized what was happening, Luke's lips were on his. The two kissed softly for a long moment before Luke broke it.

"That was real. And it wasn't bad, so I can promise you, whatever your going through, I'll be there too,"
