~~~Ron Pov~~~
After a midnight astronomy session, I was exhausted this morning. But, that means today is Friday and Fridays are magical. Unfortunately, we have double potions, but I don't have to deal with that until the end of the day. As for the exchange students, they are different, to say the least. It may be because I've never met an American before, but they seem extra different. They can't be that bad though since they know Hermione, Neville, and Luna. I mean, they also know Malfoy, but Hermione's stubborn and would never do anything evil.
"Harry, Ron," Hermione knocks on the door, "Come on breakfast is in half an hour."
"Okay," Harry moves to the mirror to put on his tie, "just give us a second to get ready."
"Yeah, don't take too long."
I walk over and join Harry at the mirror to tie my tie, "So, what do you think about bringing back Dumbledore's Army?"
Harry just looks at me, "Why?"
"Well I mean," I turn around and grab my shoes from the foot of my bed, "we may all be better at casting spells and things, but there's still a lot to learn and it might be good to just spend the time with everyone after everything that's happened. You know?"
"Yeah," Harry reaches into his trunk to get his robe, "besides, it's not like Umbridge is going to let us actually do magic."
"Cool, I'll bring it up to Hermione at breakfast."
"Boys!" Hermione shouts from downstairs. Harry and I look at each other before grabbing our bags and heading downstairs.
~~~Time Skippy~~~

"So, Hermione," I say, taking a break from devouring his food to talk, "Harry and I were talking this morning, and we had the idea of bringing back Dumbledore's Army. Probably under a different name though because Dumbledore isn't, you know, alive anymore."

"That's not a bad idea. Umbridge is back and she's probably going to have us do nothing but book work," Hermione goes silent suddenly, "What about having it be a bit different though."

"What do you mean?" Harry asks.

"Well, a lot has happened recently and it might be a good idea to have some time to just talk to people who went through the same things we did. We can still do it like we used to but instead we can have two different meeting times. One for just talking and the other for learning new spells," Hermione explains.

"That'll solve the problem of having everyone need to sign a contract too," I add, "we can have the people who just want to talk just come and if we get caught we can say it's a group therapy session or something."

Harry takes over, "Then, we can have the people who want to learn new spells come to the other meetings and have them sign to keep a secret. We just have to make sure we tell them what will happen if they break the contract this time."

"We should talk about this later," I say, seeing the exchange students walk into the Great Hall, "We don't want to be overheard."

Hermione turns around to see what I'm looking at, "really Ron, they're not going to tell on us. They would probably join. If not for the group that's learning the spells, then for the one about talking."

"Hermione, they weren't here last year," I retort.

"You never know Ron, they might have experiences of their own. They could help," Harry offers.

"Oh, so you're on their side now?" I turn to look at him.

"I didn't say that," he defends, "I just meant that there's no way of knowing what they may or may not have gone through. What if they have really good methods of coping?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I relent, "But, that doesn't mean I like or trust them."

"Like or trust who?" I think Piper comments, taking a seat next to Hermione and across from me.

"Uhh-" I start.

Luckily Hermione speaks up and changes the subject, saving me, "So what do you guys think of Hogwarts so far?"

Annabel, no Annabeth, answers sitting on the other side of Hermione, "I think the rest of them are too absorbed in eating so I guess I'll answer for the group. It's been good so far. We're still a bit jet-lagged, but it's not too bad. So far the classes are pretty cool and interesting. Well except for Defense Against the Dark Arts. I think it's one of those classes where I would enjoy it if there was a different teacher."

"Yeah, I don't blame you," Ginny joins the conversation, sitting down to my left since Harry was on my right, "No one likes her. Well, except for a couple of Slytherins I guess."

"If you're talking about Draco, I highly doubt he likes her. I don't know him personally, but from what the others tell me, he seems like the type of person that would secretly hate the teacher's guts, but pretend otherwise to get good grades," Hazel shrugs from her seat next to Piper.

"Well, he must be a very good actor then," I add, "because he and some other Slytherins were a part of her Inquisitorial Squad in fifth year. It was essentially students she hand-picked to enforce all her ridiculous decrees. Malfoy definitely didn't seem to hate her then that's for sure."

"Draco's always been hard to read. Honestly, Annabeth is the only person who knows him knows him. I've met him once or twice and everyone else has heard stories or talked with him on the phone, but he stopped visiting New York before any of us got there. Now that I think about it, Will might have met him, but I doubt it. I think he was still in Texas at the time," Percy joins the conversation. Given how close he and Annabeth are sitting, I think they might be dating. Their shoulders pressed together and I imagine their legs are too.

"Wait, so how do you guys know Draco?" Harry questions.

"Oh I can answer that one," Annabeth sets down her fork, "So you know how Hermione and I met at a summer camp?" Harry and I nod, "well Draco came for a summer or two as well. I don't think he and Hermione met though. She stopped coming when we were eleven and Draco started when we were twelve. He stopped when we were fifteen though and didn't bother to tell us why so naturally we assumed he had been killed by what's his name or something."

"You mean Voldemort?" Harry adds.

"Yeah him," Annabeth seems to be one of the more talkative members of the group, "that's a really stupid name by the way. Of all the things he could have chosen why would he choose something that's so funny to say?"

"It's an anagram," Hermione answers quickly, "I am Lord Voldemort rearranges to Tom Marvolo Riddle, which happened to be his real name."

"That's kind of cool. Just the way it works out like that," Hazel says, taking a drink from her cup.

"I know right?" Hermione smiles, "it's getting late, we should head to classes. We have Defense Against the Dark Arts first, Charms second, History of Magic after that, then a free period, and double potions at the end of the day."

Ya'll said shorter chapters so here's what I already had. I finished the scene but otherwise didn't write all that much (maybe a paragraph or two). I also changed the titles of the past two chapters because it didn't work since this didn't actually have any classes in it. I hope everyone enjoys.

I'm house sitting so hopefully I'll write more. Let me know if you have any specific scene's you'd like to see. I have a bunch of ideas but there are a lot of days in a school year so...

Stay safe, healthy, etc.
