Twenty Nine

"Joke." then he started laughing so hard. 

"Alam mo 'pag tinamaan ka ng tililing mo kakaiba ka na. You need assistance Liam, hindi na normal 'yang ganyang pag-iisip." I teased him.

"Eto na seryoso na. How do the trains eat?" Hmm, I can't think of an answer.

"Nag papa gas?" I asked. He laughed so hard again and I swear he's already getting red.

"Puta nag papa gas HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" tawa siya nang tawa pucha.

"Gago ano ba kasi 'yun? Parang tanga ka talaga ayaw pa sabihin." I said and rolled my eyes at him again. 

"Okay okay eto na, sabihin mo lang kasi 'How' tapos sabihin ko na 'yung joke. May pag-sagot ka pa kasi eh." 

"Oh sige, how?" I asked him without any emotions.

"They go chew chew." then he started laughing so hard again. 

"Nakakatawa 'yun? Ang corny mo Liam, hindi ako natawa naiyamot lang ako." I said and stood up to return the books to my locker. I felt a hug from behind and heard him whisper into my ears.

"I think you just got your period, Cal. Use my jacket and go the restroom. Wait for me there, okay? Huwag kang lalabas na wala ako sinasabi ko sa'yo Cathan." he said and tied his jacket around my waist. I was still in shock and went to the restroom slowly. Kaya pala paiba iba mood ko ngayong araw, makes sense. 

I waited inside the restroom for a few minutes then I heard a knock. "Cali?" It was Liam. 

"I'm here, what did you get?" I asked him. 

"Uh, change your underwear and skirt muna. I'll just explain later kung saan galing basta you change first then put napkins. Here, I got you with the lawit and without. I don't know what it's called so just choose, okay? I'll wait here, take care." I grabbed the garments and napkin then I closed the door. Buti nalang si Liam lang nakakita, I could've died from embarassment. 

"Cali? Are you still there? Do you need some help or what?" Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. Pucha, what kind of help can he give me? Suotan ako ng panty?

"I'm okay, chill ka lang dyan." I shouted.

"Cali, please talk every minute, let me know you're still doing fine. Do you want me to come inside ba?" Pucha, bumulwak 'yung dugo ko sa tawa dahil sa shungang 'to. Ano ba, Liam.

"I'm done na, don't worry." I washed my hands and opened the door. I saw him leaning on the wall with a hot compress on his hands. 

"Put this on your lower belly, can you do it? Do you want me to hold it for you?" Wtf, why does he care about me so much? I smiled and shook my head. 

"I'm okay, thank you sa concern, ha? Btw, where did you get the panty?" I asked him out of curiosity.

"I borrowed it from the Nursery department hehe, buti nagkasya sa'yo. Liit mo kasi eh hehe." Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin at nauna nang maglakad. 

"Huy, Cali! Bakit?  Masikip ba? Is it too tight? May ibang panties pa naman 'yung kids do'n. are you uncomfortable?" he asked me while we're walking towards the room. 

"Shut up." I said and barged inside the room.

"Hay, panibagong regla panibagong suyo na naman. Parang gusto ko na lang din reglahin." natawa ako nung marinig ko siyang sinabi 'yon sa sarili niya. 

I took a nap to ease the pain and when I woke up, I saw Liam staring at me. "How's your sleep? Eat ka na po muna, I bought a lot of foods so you can choose. Is my Cali still grumpy?" he asked in a sweet low tone. 

"Not anymore. Thank you." I smiled and started opening the foods in front of me. 

"Wala 'yun. Malakas ka sa 'kin eh. Eat ka lang. Mainit pa ba 'yung hot compress? Paltan ko na ba ng water?" he asked.

"No it's okay, huwag ka na masyadong mag abala. I'm feeling better now, thanks to you."

"Please don't be stubborn Cal, papasundo nalang ako para hindi ka mahirapan mag drive. Baka mag trigger yung puson mo, sumabay ka na sa 'min and we'll drop you off, okay?" he said and wala na akong nagawa kundi tumango.

I was fixing my things pauwi when my phone rang again and it was the unknown number. Sino ba 'tong number na 'to, hindi ko na siya sinagot dahil pinapatayan din naman ako ng tawag.

"Cal, are you ready na?" Liam asked.

I nodded and said yes when my phone rang again.  Liam saw my phone and asked me who it was. I said it was an unknown number so I didnt bother to accept the call.

Hindi parin tumitigil 'yung number kakatawag. "Answer it Cali, baka importante." Liam said.

"Ayoko, you pick it up nalang. I'm scared talaga." I said and gave him my phone. He answered the phone at nawala ang ngiti sa bibig niya.

"Sino 'yun?" I asked him.

"Block mo, scam 'yan. Baka ma-virusan phone mo. Tara na Cal, baka hinahanap ka na ng kuya mo." Liam looks flustered and a bit intimidated. I decided to block the number nalang kasi baka nga virus.

I went inside his car and we were both seated at the back. He was silent and I feel like something's off. He's not usually like this.

"Hey, okay ka lang?" I asked him. He just nodded at me. "Hindi ka okay eh. What's bothering you?"

"Wala Cal, deep thoughts lang. Wala 'to, don't worry." he said and smiled. Hindi ko na siya pinilit dahil baka makulitan lang siya sa 'kin.

We made it to our house and Liam went out to make sure na makakapasok ako sa loob ng bahay. "Thank you for the ride. Ingat kayo, drink your medicine, ha?" I said.

"Cali..." Liam said, parang may gustong sabihin.

"Hmm? May sasabihin ka ba?" I asked him.

"Curious lang.  But you don't have to answer, I'm not forcing you, okay?" he said.

"Tell me, ano ba 'yun?"

"What if Jay comes back? Iiwan mo na ba ako?"
