"Hi. Dra. Ocampo sent me here to give your mom some medications. I think you already know her?" the doctor said, unsure.
"Yes, I know her," I said with a serious and formal tone.
"I hope your mom gets better..." he said while injecting some fluid into my mom's IV line. I am not specifically sure about what he injected because he didn't give me a background about it.
"Okay, done. I'll come back later or maybe tomorrow to see if she improved, okay?" he smiled before walking out the door.
"Okay po, thank you, Doc." I fixed my Mom's bed sheet and organized her side table. I also cleaned the room and sat beside her after that. I miss talking to her and telling her my shits in life.
"Ma, punta lang po ako sa admitting office para ayusin papers mo, ha? Babalik po ako kaagad. Pagaling ka na Ma, gumising ka na. Miss na miss na kita." I smiled sadly and let go of her hand to proceed downstairs. Wala namang ibang mag-aayos ng papers niya, ako lang.
"Nurse, paki bantayan po muna si Mommy, pupunta lang po ako sa admitting. Thank you!" I flashed a smile and she nodded as a sign of agreement.
I was patiently waiting in line for my turn to come, medyo maraming tao kaya mahirap sumingit. I was browsing my phone and stalked Jay's social media accounts to see if he updated or something. I miss him so badly, wala pang isang araw. I was about to put my phone inside my pocket when I saw Gab calling.
"Cali! How are you? Si tita kamusta? I'm sorry hindi na kita nasamahan, aging busy kasi kami ni Mommy sa business niya. I helped her with the shipping, prepping, and all. Sino kasama mo dyan?" sunod sunod niyang tanong na para bang matagal kaming hindi nakapagusap.
"Uy, oo okay lang ako. Sobrang gaming nangyare, sinugod ako ni Miampakta dito tapos sinabihan ako na ibigay ko si Jay sakanya kasi nga raw baka madamay si Jay and kung gusto ko pa raw mabuhay si Mommy, gawin ko na raw gusto niya..." matamlay kong kinwento sakanya. She immediately responded and her voice became loud that the people beside me can already hear it.
