"Cali, bakit kailangan mo lumipat?" Naiiyak na si Dianna habang nakayakap sakin.
"Sorry. Masyado kasing malayo rito. Mahihirapan ako pumasok. Bibisita naman ako sainyo, I promise." I held her hands and started wiping her tears. I only spent my freshman year with them but it feels like we've been together for so long. Ayoko naman sila iwan, kailangan kasi namin lumipat ng bahay. I have no choice.
"Anak, behave ka sa bago mong school ha?" Mommy said while prepping my lunch. I nodded as a sign of agreement and waited for the school service to arrive.
I entered the building and it looks...clean. Wala masyadong estudyante at hindi masikip kumpara sa dating kong school. Wala ring sections at isang room lang per grade level. I looked for my classroom and entered inside quietly.
The teacher came and she looks so young. She asked us to introduce ourselves with a twist. What does she mean by that? Some of my classmates sang their names, others danced. I don't have any talent, paano ba yan.
"Hi...I'm Cathan. You can call me Cali. I'm seventeen years old from Tagaytay City." I was so nervous I keep on looking at the floor.
"Single or Taken?" Wtf. Ano 'to curriculum vitae? My eyes widened when I heard the question.
May isang lalaking mukhang amag ang nakatingin sakin habang natawa. I guess he's laughing at my reaction. He looks rich though. Airpods, iPhone, Macbook, his bag is so organized and clean. After my introduction, I sat beside him and the other guy who looks like Mrs. Puff.
No one tried to talk to me, yet. Maybe it's because I'm a transferee? I went to the cafeteria to get some snacks. I still haven't talked to anyone. I don't feel like talking and introducing myself tapos ano? Wala naman mangyayare.
"Kaya nga e! HAHAHAHAHA 'di ata niya nakita-" This bitch. Hindi kasi natingin sa dinadaanan e. She spilled her chocolate drink on me while talking to her classmates.
"Oh! I'm sorry!! I'm so sorry!! Let me clean it for you!" Sinusubukan niyang punasan ng tissue yung blouse ko. Mukha naman siyang mabait. "Are you new here? Hindi kita nakikita before?" She asked out of curiosity. I just nodded.
She introduced herself to me and told me to socialize with other people as it will help me gain friends and boost my confidence. She said their classroom is beside ours so I can go to her anytime. Ahead siya sakin ng isang taon.
I wasn't able to come to school for the next few days due to my health condition. I was told by the doctor to stay at home and gain some energy before going back to school.
Dumaan ang isang linggo at ngayon papasok na ako. Wala talaga ako sa mood pumasok at mag-aral.
I sat quietly when I entered the room and the rich guy na mukhang amag approached me. Nag bulungan kaagad ang gossip girls habang nilapitan niya ako.
"Why were you absent?" I sighed and tried to look at him. His eyes were unsettlingly calm. He's tall, sharp featured, intelligent and attractive. His hair is swept on the side giving him a polished look. His voice sounds pleasing and equally smooth.
"Uhm..I..uh...I had to go to my doctor." I stuttered. His gaze is completely different from afar. He raised his eyebrows like he didn't believe my statement.
"Jay! Come here, we have to show you something!" Tawag sakanya ng iba pa naming kaklaseng babae. I'm sure they just don't want me to talk to him kaya tinawag nila.
