Shawn would be coming over for dinner, tonight.

I don't think he knows about my plans to leave the country and I was hoping for more time to gather some more strengths, so I could face him, fully armoured. But it seems time wasn't very patient with me.

I don't know why I'm staring at the mirror accessing my outfit for the little home dinner

Its nothing much, just a jeans and top with sneakers.

Or should I go into a knee length or full length gown?

Its not like its a serious date or anything... Its just dinner with Shawn at our mansion.

I'm nervous and my heart is pulsating rather rapidly at what is to come.

Tonight... I break up with Shawn and I shouldn't try to make things harder by dressing too ravishly.

There is a slight knock on the door.

"Come in" I said

"Doesn't seem like you plan to tease me tonight" Shawn's voice echoed and I froze.

I wasn't expecting him till...

8pm

Oh...

Its 8pm already

"Hey Shawn" I said, walking nervously towards him

"Not the expression I was expecting but... Its fine. how are you? I've missed you" his voice causing a painful thud in my heart.

"I've missed you too" I said, taking in every feature of his face. His beautiful dark eyes, his perfectly chiseled face, his hearthrobing lips, shaped like cupid's.

"I have something to tell you" we both said almost in sync.

"You do?" He asked with a questioning look

"Oh, what is it?" I asked

"You go first" he said

Sighing

This is it, I should stop procastinating and take the bull by its horn.

"Well..." I dragged as I backed him and moved nervously around the room.

Finally settling on the bed... I could feel his eyes watching my every move

"So unlike you to be nervous... What is it?" He asked, taking a step towards me.

"I want you to know I Love You, I really do..." I said but he chipped in

"But what?" He asked quizzically

I licked my lips, gulped and

"I have to break up with you" I said

"No, you can not" he said

"Huh?" I queried

"Because we were never in a relationship to begin with. So, No. you can't break up with me" he said, taking a seat beside me on the bed

My heart broke

"Then what would you call 'us'?" I asked

"Friends with benefit, nothing more." He concluded and my heart sunk

"You're trying to say I mean nothing to you?" I asked, losing my voice inbetween.

"I'm trying to say, I know you are leaving and I'm trying to make your goodbye easy for you. I understand why and I respect it, doesn't mean i've stopped loving you or would stop. As much as it breaks my heart to let you go, I have to console myself with the fact that you would be safer outside this country. Just please, be safe for me. You would remain my forever love and hopefully someday, we can be together again."he said and my eyes became teary as I hugged him
