Self Made Poetry 2

In Loves Name

Just turned, but his love was his first concern.

Now a creature of the night.

Leaving all he once had behind.

Gone but never far from his mind.

His thirst that can't be quenched.

Stalking prey throughout the night.

Sleeping though the day.

He returns to her each night.

Watching her lay sleeping.

The need to see her far greater then the blood he craves.

He left to save her from a life like his.

Living in shadows, a monster in mans disguise.

The first night he turned he remembers the fear in her eyes.

How she backed away with frightened cries.

The night he shall always remember as when he died.

Killing now to survive as the undead.
But not truly alive.

Lust for blood feeds his need to kill.

But a mere bit of humanity still dwells deep within.

Aching for the love of his life.

Knowing full will what it cost him and all he has lost.

Agonizing over his desire to turn her into a vampire too.

She hates and fears what he has become.

His fate now to remain alone for the rest of time.

I think of you day and night, you don't know it but you're always on my mind.

At night I feel your eyes on me, yet I stay facing away from them.

It's not that I don't love you, it's that I don't want you to see me cry my silent tears.

The night you turned I backed away and screamed, but I wasn't afraid of you.

I was afraid of the thought of you outliving me and being with others, but if I turned as well I would have had eternity with you.

This thought brought a new one to mind, what if you found someone better?

I'd be left immortal with my love drinking with another.

There are nights I want to turn and place my hand in yours, there are nights I curse your name for doing something like this.

Even though we aren't together I still yearn for you and I miss you.

You won't ever hear me say it, but be safe my love.
