You can feel it start to creep under your skin.
Your head begins to spin.
This nervousness from deep within.
It spreads and blossoms.
This dread.
Heart pounding.
Panic echos in your head.
Try to just breathe
Your heart seized.
The darkness is calling.
Your falling.
Anxiety.
You mind pleads in your head.
Fight it.
Just breathe deep.
Repeat.
Anxiety.
The darkness slowly begins to fade.
But it left it's mark.
This darkness always lurks inside.
Your hands still shake.
Just breathe deep.
Repeat.
Anxiety.
It retreats, your mind begins to clear.
The fear subsides.
Down cast eyes.
Fist clinched.
Anxiety once again kept at bay.
Yet always it stays.
lurking within.
Buried deep under your skin.
knowing it will return another day.
Anxiety, it never really goes away.
It's always a part of me.
The darkness you can't see.
Breathe deep
Repeat.
Anxiety.
