Night Skies (Collaboration)

(My Part)

Do you ever look up into the nights velvety onyx sky.

The man in the moon so wisely looking down.

All the stars winking at you.

How vibrantly they twinkle.

A tranquil setting to ponder your day.

Think of all the things you've said and done.

Laugh over a memory that you shared with a loved one.

Think about the fun you had.

Also reflect the bad things too.

The soft sounds as nature settles in for the night.

Trees rustle in the evening breeze.

The crickets play their melody.

So much beauty for the eye to see.

The fresh smell of the damp grass.

Reflections from the lamp posts dance on window glass.

Your heart just admires the simplicity of the night you're experiencing.

Suddenly you start realizing the bliss you've been living in.

Thoughts flood out one by one, insomnia hits hard.

But everything seems happy, you feel eternal peace at heart. 

This is soothing and peaceful, away from the everyday rush and chatter.

You finally have a "me time", you can be yourself, not a single problem now matters.

We long for moments like this to last forever.

As the day takes its toll and we drift off to sleep.

Tomorrow brings a new day.

Sunshine pours into my room.

You rub the sleep from tired eyes.

New moments and memories each day.

After a long productive day, i can finally relax.

Here i stay out under the moon.

Once again as night comes to settle in.

I shall sit outside eyes turned to the sky.

My favorite evening place to be.

Just my thoughts and the twinkling stars to see.
