Another dance practice, another mistake made by Chan.

"What happened to you?" Changbin asked, walking towards the leader, who was disappointedly sitting on the floor, his hands supporting him from the sides as he leaned back. His head was hung low, as he contemplated what to do.

He had been a little distracted from all the dance practices, all because of that one track he couldn't satisfy himself with.

He didn't know where he was going wrong, but he just couldn't make a track that he could be pleased with. He was beginning to doubt his abilities at this point.

Where was he going wrong? What happened to his musical recognition?

"I'm just tired, I guess..." he replied with a tight smile, and Changbin rested a hand on his shoulder.

"You should take some rest, then. You can join in the practice later," he advised.

"But..."

"It wouldn't help if you will be tired while practicing. Take some rest."

"...Fine."

Chan then moved to the corner of the room, drawing out his phone to talk to someone who would comfort him and motivate him, other than the seven boys he had. And he knew just the person.

Aisha2000: hey

Chris97: hi

Aisha2000: you know the weirdest thing happened today

Aisha2000: I was painting and suddenly smth banged on my window

Aisha2000: the curtains were drawn so I got scared af

Aisha2000: I almost called the cops but then I saw that it was a gODDAMN SQUIRREL

Chris97: lmaoooo

Aisha2000: yea lol wyd

Chris97: nothing much

Aisha2000: okay is it just me or are you a little off today?

Chan looked around to see if any person who could be called Aisha was around him. How did she know?

Chris97: are you a psychic or smth?

Aisha2000: I'm magic ;)

Aisha2000: but on a serious note, what's wrong?

He hesitated before typing down his feelings.

Chris97: I'm just trying to make it big in the music industry, but I feel like I'm losing my shine

Chris97: I can't seem to satisfy myself by anything that I do

Chris97: where am I going wrong? I don't understand...

Aisha2000: I see

Aisha2000: I have an opinion, mind if I speak?

Chris97: no need to be formal with me :)

Aisha2000: when I draw smth, I'm never satisfied by it

Aisha2000: but that's what artists are... not just drawing artists, but all kinds of artists

Aisha2000: we tend to never like what we do, but that's the beauty of it

Chris97: I get you

Chris97: but how do I make my song better?

Aisha2000: you give the best of yourself, and don't worry if you're not satisfied with it

Aisha2000: tell others to give you a feedback on your work and improve on the parts that need work

Aisha2000: after all, what would the critics do if WE started to get satisfied with our work?

That effectively cleared his doubts about what he had to do. It made a lot of sense to him, he didn't know why.

Chris97: that makes sense

Aisha2000: and dw! If you're troubled because of this, then relax

Aisha2000: take care of your health, because you matter the most

Aisha2000: no problem in this world is worth your stress

Chris97: this made me feel a hundred times better :D

Chris97: thank you so much!!

Aisha2000: don't mention it :)

With that, Chan stretched his upper body, and zealously joined the group which was practicing one of their dance routines. Changbin turned around and knit his eyebrows together, and Chan smiled a dimpled grin, and nodded an 'okay' at him.

And while practicing the dance, another distraction reigned in his mind – maybe that girl was special.

Yeah, friend-zoned.
