Shawn's pov:

It had been a day since I had talked to my mom and after thinking and thinking I knew she was right. You don't need to be married to be happy and above all I knew that it wasn't necessary for me to marry her in order to have a life long relationship, what we have is eternal.

It is true that I always wanted to get married but the bigger reason was because I thought that relationships doesn't last otherwise.
But I knew it all had changed for me since her.

I thought it was better to take a walk and clear my head a bit so I took a jacket from my closet to go out. In the process of taking my jacket out I noticed something fell down.

I looked down and the ring which I had picked out to propose Camila was lying on the floor.

I sighed deeply, before picking it up and slipping it in the pocket of one of my coats. I remember I was walking home from work a couple weeks after our anniversary when I saw a ring in the display of a jewellery shop, the ring reminded me of Camila in all aspects it was beautiful, elegant and yet simple just like her, even though at that time I wasn't looking forward to propose to her, I knew I had to get it and so did.

I locked the door and went out to take the stroll. I went to the Brooklyn bridge, and like all the times before it was a sight of peace. Camila and I both loved to take strolls around this part of the city.

After some time I decided it was getting late and it was best to get back home. I was walking by the bar across the street now, where we'd met for the first time. I still remembered that day like it was just yesterday.

How simple things were, how did we get here? I knew I had to make it right once she comes tomorrow, I don't care if I have to sacrifice getting married for her, because without her it all doesn't even matters anymore.

I glanced at the small bar, and how that day she took my breath away by just one look, by one smile. I know it wasn't love at first sight but it was something much more than words would ever be enough to define. After a few moments of reminiscing, I decided to go back.

I was more than confused when I saw that the door was already open. I got in to see the room lit by only candles as the room filled in with the pleasant scent of lavender.
Camila, was all I was able to think and I was right. But what was she doing here, she was about to come tomorrow morning I thought to myself.

I saw her on the floor on her knees probably as the couch in between had blocked the sight of her lower half.

"Camila?" I said as I approached her and once I saw her I was shocked to my core as a gasp left my lips.

"Will you marry me?"

A/N:  Sorry to all the people whose comments I had to delete because you were right and I didn't want the others to find out like that.😂♥️
