Sinik

A week later we finally reached the southern forest, I dismounted immediately calling out everywhere, my voice frantic and desperate

"AYLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"AYLA!!!!!!!!"

"ENOUGH SINIK!" hunter shouted "she's clearly long gone"

"yes, I don't feel her around any longer"

Hunter dismounts and walks around the space. Slowly he closes his eyes and inhales. His breathing stalls before abruptly laboring. His chest heaves rapidly then he snaps his eyes open; a painfilled expression crosses his face

I held my breath knowing whatever he was about to reveal would be bad

"She was here but she's long gone now, for almost a week. Her emotions...they are in tatters. She is angry and scared and tormented all at once. My daughter. This is all my fault. I should've told her what she was, I should've paid closer attention.... to her instead of working s-"

"No my friend do not do this to yourself the fault lies with no one by Dakkar and he will pay for everything he has done, soon enough"

"He is right honey you cant blame yourself. We both failed our girl" Adora commenting hugging his chest, sharing his grief and guilt

"Since Ayla's trail is now cold. I think it is best we head to Judah's territory. We vowed keep him informed about Ayla's whereabouts. He will want to know what has been happening. Then we can continue the search" I offered

"You are right, lets camp here tonight and head out at dawn" Hunter suggested as he moved away with Adora still clinging to him

As the roaring fire blazed and the drunken laughter of men ensued my thought remained on Ayla; the finders words coupled with what i now knew of her powers replaying like a bad tune through my mind

As the roaring fire blazed and the drunken laughter of men ensued my thought remained on Ayla; the finders words coupled with what i now knew of her powers replaying like a bad tune through my mind

"We will find her" a voice spoke beside me

Immediately i was annoyed

"I know will"  i snipped  my tone unmissably hostile

"Look I fucked up! i know that, but i do care about Ayla too. she was my best friend before anything. I already lost one..... i refuse to lose another" He declared

I  glanced at the fire male, his hand thrusted towards me in a gesture of truce

Reluctantly for the sake of Ayla and Taylen i grasped it. Still i hoped he would see the distrust  lingering within my gaze. I wouldn't hesitate to kill him if necessary

"Why are you here? When we left that facility you were happily with your water  female and child. You could care less about your son"

Instantly his eyes began to glow blue, the fire before us blazed higher, crackling noisily

"Murkan did take me, but I had left that facility two days after i heard about Ayla fleeing" He confessed

I gave him a perplexed expression

"The child was not mine. Once i found that out i left for my son. I was ambushed on the road"

"So only after the female child was proven to not be your own, did you care for Taylen?"  I taunted sipping casually at my wine

The fire suddenly roared to alarming heights as he shot to his feet. People shreiked in fright as it nearly charred them

"That is not true!. I love my son!!!!!!"

I didn't bother to match his aggressive stance. We both knew he was no match for me. Still flashes of lightening lit the sky overhead as he glared at me. By now all eyes had shifted towards us and our conversation. His chest heaving and his flames licking his hands

"Ayla swore to me we would be able to come to an agreement when the war was over and i would be able to be with my son, that was the only reason i agreed to stay with my daughter." He explained

Finally my  temper flared hot and i jumped to my feet, stepping to him matching his anger

"You should have been here, alongside Ayla to help fight this war. Your daughter could waited to see you. What we are doing benefits us all. Ayla saved you worthless hide many times over, yet you have not ever showed a  willingness  to do the same." I snarled

"Is everything okay here general?"

Torra stood looking at an penitent Taron, a warning in her green eyes as her hand clutched the sword at her hip, that hardly ever left her side

"No there is no issue Torra, relax"  i assured as i sat back down and finished my drink nonchalantly

Taron still stood, glaring threateningly at Torra. Then his  expression morphed to one of satisfaction

"For all your so called devotion to Ayla, I see how closely you keep this fae female at your side" He quipped

Just like that my ire rose again. I jumped back to my feet growling with fury

"Unlike you i harbor no desires for any other"

He smirked then, causing my blood to spike further with outrage

"If you say so, i notice no other fae came over to "assist you" he retorted before turning and stalking away

So  much for that truce. It was of no consequence though. I was certain i would never like the male no matter what he did.................................................

Should i do a chapter for Taron revealing his situation at the facility up until he was captured?

Do you think Sinik is right to call out Taron regarding Ayala and Taylen?

What would you have done regarding both babies?
