-Scott-

"Scott. I'm sorry but we need to let him go."

"No you don't."

"We do. It's not fair to him. He wants to go Scott."

"You don't know what he wants. It's not fair to me. To the kids. They're gonna lose their father and get stuck with me. I'll be so unstable if he dies. It's not fucking fair that my husband has been in a coma for almost a year and he won't come back! It's not fucking fair that I have to tell our eight year old daughter that her daddy might not come back! It's not fair doc. Life isn't fucking fair!" I slammed the door in his face and went over to the side of Mitch's bed.

I grabbed his hand and held it. I held it as tight I could. I was so weak that it was barely even a tight squeeze. I haven't ate in 2 days. I'm afraid and don't feel like leaving Mitch. I can't. He hasn't left us, we shouldn't do it to him.

"Mitch. Please come back. Please. Please. Please. I need you. We need you. I'm sorry that this has happened for you sweetheart. I wish I could do something. I feel so bad. For all of us. You, the kids, your sister and her family. All of us involved. Life isn't fair and it's sure as hell shown you that and I'm so very sorry."

The door opened and I looked over to see the doctor and two nurses, one being Sally, "Scott. Say goodbye to Mitch. It needs to happen."

"No. No you can't do this! It's not okay! He's gonna wake up. He has to!" I grabbed onto Mitch's hand and refused to let go as the security came in.

"I'm sorry Scott."

The security guards pulled me away from Mitch and I watched the doctor walk over to him, "Okay! Just let me say goodbye." The guards released me and the doctors left.

I walked over to Mitch and sat down, holding his hand in mine, "Mitchy. I'm so sorry. There's nothing I can do. I don't wanna give up. I have no choice. I'm so so sorry honey." I laid my head on his chest.

"Please come back. It's your last chance. Please! Come on Mitch!" I stood up and hugged him. The doctor and nurses came back in.

"Okay Scott. Let's do this." I held onto Mitch's hand as they went over to the machines.

"Say hi to Samantha for me. I love you Mitchy." I kissed him and closed my eyes as I stood up, still holding his hand.

"Bye Mitchell." Was the last thing I heard from the doctor before I felt a  squeeze on my hand.

I heard gasps and then felt another squeeze on my hand. I opened my eyes and they were met with those golden brown ones, "Hi Scotty."
