"Nope, hindi ikaw ang nandyan since Day 1, nanay ko. Ikaw ba nagluwal sa 'kin, ha?" Her reaction swiftly changed after hearing what I said. Bakit, totoo naman ah.
"Why can't you love me back?"
"I just can't, Seah. You've been a good friend and ayokong masira lang ang pinagsamahan natin just because of this. I know someone out there is waiting for you, kaya mag-antay ka lang din. Kusa yan darating, stop choosing but keep on waiting." I tapped her head and turned around.
"Okay, friends." she said, still sniffing. I turned to look at her and she reached for her hand.
"Layuan mo muna ako hanggat hindi pa nawawala yang nararamdaman mo sa 'kin, okay? I don't you getting hurt lalo na't ako yung dahilan. Kay Neil ka nalang, single 'yun." I smirked and she giggled.
"Pakyu, ayoko na sa'yo." she rolled her eyes at me.
"Yan, ganyan dapat. Lahat kasi ng ginagawa ko binibigyan mo ng meaning, kaya ka nasasaktan eh." she glared at me and I just laughed at her reaction. "But seriously speaking, Seah, I want you to leave Cali alone. Please. If may natitira ka mang respeto sa 'kin, please tantanan niyo na si Cali. Ayokong masira ang kung anong mayroon tayo dahil lang doon, ha?" she nodded and widened her arms asking for a hug.
"I'm sorry, hindi na, salamat sa pang fe-friendzone." I hugged her and tapped her head. She was one of my closest friends din talaga na I truly treasure but if anyone messes with my Cali, baka hindi na friend ang maituring ko sakanila.
"Si Cali." Seah pointed Cali who just turned her back on us, patay tayo dyan. Alam ko na nasa isip neto. I held her hand habang hindi pa siya nakakalayo. She stopped for a while and turned around then faked a smile while handing me a paper bag. "Merry Christmas." Hindi ako nakagalaw at tuluyan na siya umalis.
"Tanga, habulin mo!" Seah told me.
"Ikaw kasi dito mo pa ako dinala, pepektusan kita eh! Una na ako, ingat ka!" I ran and tried to chase her. Nakita ko silang magkakasama sa gym. "I had to...uh...take care of something important, Ma'am." I told the teacher while Cali is looking at me suspiciously, selos.
