On the Playground

We are going to the playground.

We will have fun and run around.

Slide down the slides, swing on a swing,

In the cool spring weather while the birds sing.

Meet other kids just like you.

Playing together is a fun thing to do.

Bring a picnic lunch along to eat.

Put down a blanket and take a seat.

Lie back and watch the clouds go by,

As you stare up at the bright blue sky.

Sitting peacefully in the grass of green,

Looking out at everything, so serene.

This whole day has been so much fun.

I wish this day wasn’t done.
