Night

As the sun goes down,

The sky turns many colors.

 They stay for some time,

Then fade into the black of night.

Soon, tiny spots of light appear,

White and shimmering.

They fill up the wide expanse of darkness.

They blaze in the sky, by the shining moon.

The moon shines down light to the world,

Sparkling on the grass,

And on me.

Lying there on my back,

Watching this scene come to life,

The cool breeze blowing on me,

And the flowers, leaves, and grass dancing.

I look up through the trees,

Breathing in the scenery around me.

And I think of all these memories,

And slowly drift off to sleep.
