I went out of the house to freshen up and saw Jay's car parked in front. I saw him resting behind the car while scrolling through his phone, parang may inaantay. Ayokong mag assume pero parang ako. Hindi ako sure.
"Waiting for someone?" I asked him.
"Yeah, you." he said while standing up nicely.
"I'm sorry for being so insensitive these past few days, hindi lang talaga ako okay." I said first.
"Nah. I understand. Kahit naman sino ganyan ang initial reaction. Wala kang dapat ipagalala dahil naiintindihan ko, okay?" he patted my shoulder and smiled
"Bakit ka napadaan dito?" I asked him.
"I just want to make sure my ex is doing fine." he chuckled.
Natawa ako sa sinabi niya at binatukan siya. "Kailangan i-emphasize, ha?"
"Bakit? Wala naman na kasi talagang tayo." he said, smiling but his eyes looked sad.
"Malay mo naman sa future hehe." I suggested.
"I'll be moving in to Manila next week. I don't want to leave you sad." he said, looking straight into my eyes.
"Ako nga 'yung nang-iwan sa'yo, eh. Tapos ikaw pa 'tong ayaw umalis ngayon. Iniwan din kitang malungkot kaya hayaan mo na, isipin mo nalang na ganti mo 'to sa 'kin." I smiled at him.
"It was never in my options to leave you, Cali." seryoso niyang sabi.
"Alam ko naman 'yun, kaya nga nag so-sorr-"
