Author's POV

"You look like a pig"

"No, Y/N. It's neon, not jade"

"Please try a different one. That one is giving me a huge headache right now"

"Definitely not that"

"Ew, a complete no no"

"That's too revealing. You'll look like one of those wannabes back in highschool"

"Pick something else, that doesn't suit you one bit"

"Then why don't you pick since you seem to disagree on everything I pick?" You huffed, clearly frustrated as you sat at the sofa

Currently, you were in a mall shopping for clothes with your best friend, Mark. He was as honest as a six-year-old and had an immense taste when it comes to fashion. So, because of this, you have asked for his help and he gladly came to your aid.

However, you didn't expect him to be this strict when it came to style. Even though, he had told you many times that it was just his opinion:

"I'll be right back, then" Mark nods his head and stands up, disappearing in a crowd of middle-aged women and teenaged walking around, clothes and bags in hands

You waited for approximately fifteen minutes before your best friend showed up, a pile of clothes in his hands:

"Here, go and check them out. If you don't like some of it then tell me and I'll find you something else" He says before you could even mutter a word, ushering you inside the fitting room with the clothes now in hand

It didn't take long and you were finally finished with the last piece of clothing, none were discarded and disliked. As always, you once again liked what Mark had selected for you.

You went out to see him scrolling through his phone, and an idea seem to pop in your head. Quietly, you began to sneak up on him:

"Hey!" You exclaimed, to which he flinched and immediately turned his phone off, the cause of his reflexes

"Gosh, Y/N!" Mark whines in a retorting manner, standing up

You laughed at his annoyed face, and soon he began to laugh with you as well. Other people who passed by you were either giving you weird looks or smiling at the both of you. After a fit of laughter Mark had helped you with the clothes as both of you made your way to the counter.

The girl places all of it in front of the cashier as she began to scan each of it, her assistant folding it neatly and placing them in a large paper bag:

"We have a promo for couples today! All purchased clothing, undergarments and accessories are 100% off" The cashier smiles

"Oh no! We-" Mark was about to decline, but you immediately cut him off

"Yup! We've been together for a month now" You lied, as the girl smiled and nodded

"Good luck with your relationship then! Have a nice day!" She says after you paid, giving you the bag filled with clothes and so on

As the two of you exited the store, Mark nudged you:

"Why'd you do that for? The girl even believed you!" He says, eyebrows furrowed

"Aish! The 100% is more important" You answered back. And to be able to prevent the painful words that might've come out of your mouth if I wasn't able to say otherwise
