"i'm so hot, for you."

Author's POV

"Oh my gawd who are you??!" He exclaims, moving side to side

"Are you going to kill me?!! Princess Sugar Plum!! Twilight Sparkle! Save me from this evil witch!" He again shouts

Rubbing your temples, you immediately got a hold of him and began to make your way to your car. Mark Lee was your best friend to begin with. He was awkward, cheesy; but overly adorable, and was always there for you when you needed him.

Today was suppose to be your last day as seniors. And to celebrate the end of all the hell and drama you've experienced, Mark had decided to go to a restaurant. Though, getting drunk wasn't really in your plan, guess it took a turn huh?

People watched as you tried your best to tame his hyperactive, drunk self. His body was heavy, and him shouting and blabbering wasn't helping either:

"Where are you taking me, witch?? Where's my best friend?!" He once again shouts at the top of his lungs, trying his best to escape from your grip

"Shut up Mark! I am Y/N! Your best friend. Now be a good boy and let me help you go to my car so I could bring you back to your house" You said, grumbling

"You're such a dork" You mumbled against your breath, but it seemed like Mark heard it anyways

"I'm not! I'm a man! A manly man!" He stomped his feet as you continued to literally carry him

And after a couple of minutes, you then sighed in complete relief, seeing the familiar vehicle in front of you. You opened the gunshot, and practically pushed Mark all the way in. Once done, you then headed to the drivers' seat and turned the engine on, beginning to drive.

During the drive, there were times that Mark would be quiet, then he would freak out as soon as he sees you, then drifts off to sleep, but a few minutes later he would wake up and then vice versa. Considering that you had a whole thirty minutes before you can arrive to his household; it's going to be a long drive.

You silently cursed to yourself, blaming yourself because of the state Mark was currently in. But nonetheless, it was still his fault for being so careless. He was quite new to it, considering he was just twenty one. He still wasn't good in tolerating alcohol.

But now wasn't the time to scold him for doing such. Taking him home is your current mission, not lecturing him about alcohol:

"Hey, Y/N?" Mark calls out, voice husky and quite hoarse from all the shouting he just did

"Yes, Mark?" You asked, a hint of sarcasm oozing by the way you said it

"Has anybody told you how beautiful you are?" You were about to stop in the middle of the freeway because of that. Literally.

You looked at your best friend, checking to see if he was asleep. But he wasn't. His eyelids were half open though you know that he was looking at you:

"No. Why would they, anyways?" A bit of bitterness laced your tone

"I feel sorry for those people. They don't know how much of a gorgeous being my best friend is!" He whines, pouting, eyes now as big as a donut

Red. Was the only thing you could describe of yourself right now; Scarlet Red. You didn't know if you should be flattered by the compliment, or be heartbroken by the fact that he literally just friend zoned you.

Because despite all the things that happened today, you still liked him. Mark Lee, your best friend, and number one companion:

"Don't be, Mark. Because I'm not really one" You snickered, hearing him huff

"Yes you are! It's actually one of the reasons why I like you!" He shouts out loud

Eyes widen in shock? Check. Heart beat fastening its pace? Check. Redder cheeks? Check. Butterflies that couldn't be controlled in stomach? Check. Hotel? Trivago. You were completely baffled by the words you just heard.

You didn't know if you should believe him considering the fact that drunk people usually tells the truth or what. There was a part of you hoping that he really did the felt the same as you do. But there, at the most bottom, bottom, of your pits; did not believe it and thought that he was just playing with you.

And you, being the girl who didn't want to get hurt, decided to follow that instead:

"You're saying stuffs, Mark. Just go back to sleep and I'll just wake you up as soon as we reach your house" You said, trying your best to hold it in

"But I am telling the truth. I really, really, like... you..." His voice was getting shallower, more quiet as each word passes out of his mouth

Soon, you then heard nothing but him slurring and letting out small snores. Briefly, you took a look at him, smiling as you focused your gaze back to the road.

It's great to know you like me back.
